Stayed here with my partner and baby son and we were made extremely welcome. Staff were very helpful and assisted with pram at all stepped areas without being asked. The room we had was very spacious, clean and had views of the tower bridge to the left of our HUGE balcony and the gherkin to the right. Adjustable heating and...

I stayed at The Grange with my husband. The Hotel is beautifully decorated and the reception area is grand. When we had checked into our room we found moulded food left in our fridge. It took staff an hour to come and remove it.They simple took it out without wiping the fridge or any cleaning of it what so ever.We didn't get an...

Unfortunately, a hot sweaty horrible hotel. 5 stars yes, you could almost see them through the holes in the roof. It's cheap, it's nasty and don't go there if you are expecting to get a great deal for 5 star rating. After about 1 hours sleep, dehydrating in Death Valley equivalent room temperatures the breakfast was great, but only if...

I wouldn't describe this hotel as 5 star, we were expecting something really special with that rating so we were a little disappointed but overall it was a nice hotel to stay in. We had 2 double rooms, for the same price one was much bigger which was strange (but ok for me as I got the bigger one!) I...

Arrived at hotel after booming a top secret hotel on late rooms. Immediately upgraded to an executive suite with a view of the tower & tower bridge. 2 double beds and lovely bathroom. Lift to floor a little bit dodgy & no bottled water as stated but both no biggy! Didn't manage to make use of spa facilities or pool...

It is one of several hotels that are adjacent to each other, the Novatel and Doubletree and is probably just about the best of an average bunch. It's a bit dated in places but manages to maintain good style and service. It is located next to the Tower of London and Tower Hill underground. Rooms are not huge but pretty...

This was my second stay at the Grange City and my fifth in a Grange Hotel. Like other Grange hotels the staff were pleasent, porter's extremely helpful. Location was ideal, facilities were good and whilst the rooms were clean and comfortable the decor is a little dated and could do with an upgrade.

We arrived at the hotel after a long journey at 2:30, without a doubt we were very impressed as we pulled up in the Taxi and was greeted by a very helpful and lovely porter, 10/10. That’s where it all went downhill. The lady on the desk was rude, we were told check in is at 3pm come back then,...

This hotel is in a great location by the Tower of London . It's a big place with conference facilities etc and is generally used by business people on weekdays. Nice enough place. Food was pretty good, though portion sizes were not generous

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
