This place is dirty, smelly and the staff are incredibly rude. I am surprised that places like this still trade. Please spend an extra £20 per night and stay somewhere else. Please, please , please do not stay here!

My boyfriend booked this hotel last year for a city break in London due to its convenient location. Staff were really rude and aloof on arrival. The room was really filthy... the bed sheets were stained and had holes in the corners... the carpet was stained and sticky and the bathroom was very dirty. The TV was so small that...

This is a really awful hotel TBH. I booked it in a hurry after another arrangement fell through. It's not even really a proper hotel, more like a hostel. Bad points 1. It's dirty and shabby, with torn carpets and dirt everywhere 2. The bedrooms are just horrible, misshapen badly decorated, and dirty 3. The beds are awful. The mattress...

Seriously .. how do places like this pass as hotels??? You would be better off sleeping on the benches in the park opposite !!! After a very long day in London all I wanted was a decent nights sleep. Unless you are desperate please reconsider staying here 1. Check in time 3pm .... arrive 10pm - told room not ready...

The saying "you get what you pay for" would have been best to describe the hotel, HOWEVER, didn't even get that.bed was broken, mattress was well and truly sunk in the middle so both rolling into each other all night. Whenever someone moved, so did the bed. Wasn't just us, could hear surrounding rooms having the same issue, heard every...

The reception area was very basic and a bit shabby but I wasn’t alarmed by that as it was quite cheap compared to other central London hotels even though I wouldn’t classify this as a hotel. The standard is on par with a low-end hostel. When I first made the booking online for £45 for one night, I noticed that...

Booked this hotel, checked in and checked straight out again once I saw the state of the room! The toilet isn't in the room, it's communal and you have to pay £20 extra to have this in your room. I wouldn't even use it for my pets!! Dirty, scruffy, patches off damp on the wall, discoloured ceiling and walls. The...

While I can deal with a shared bathroom for a location like this, the bed was so bad I could barely sleep. The mattress dipped in the middle with springs pressing into my back. I've put all the blankets they had underneath myself to make it bearable but it was still a really uncomfortable sleep. I don't think it is...

Hard to know where to start....the staff, the smell, the filth, the furniture and the bedding were all unbelievably appalling but I think in the end it was the vermin that really topped it off. This hotel is rated 1035 of 1080 in London by TripAdvisor. I find it difficult to imagine what the 45 lower rated hates could possibly...

This is the WORST hotel I have experienced in my life. We should have been wary from the start - even entering the building - It was grotty. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful, miserable and never smiled once. Again, we should have taken notice of the surroundings and asked to see the room before paying, but this is all great...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
