We stayed for two nights for a family celebration. Booking the hotel on Internet was very easy Jessica the receptionist was very welcoming and extremely helpful We had a lovely double room on the fourth floor The room and adjacent Wc were spotlessly clean and valeted daily Walk in shower was easy to use with a plentiful supply of hot...

Many thanks to Nathan for helping out. I'd accidentally booked the room for the wrong date, hence when I turned up, I was told the hotel had been booked for the following week. I thought I'd struggle to find a different hotel so late on a sunday night, but Nathan ensured that I got a refund for the room that...

I travelled to London for business and had previously stayed at this hotel so I knew that it was clean, the rooms are a good size and there's plenty in the area. The only downside was that I was placed in a room next to St Swithin's Lane, which turned out to be very noisy. I was only there two...

All rooms come as standard with Travelodge. Comfy bed and pillows, tea and coffee making facilities. The Travelodge at Bank is very convenient about a minutes walk from Bank Tube station. Take exit 5 or you might get lost. 1 tube stop to St Pauls cathedral. Definitely nice and central with lots around this good hotel base.

We had previously arranged to stay at another Hotel in London however due to unforeseen circumstances we could not stay their. This is when we booked this hotel at a similar price. Although it doesn't have the same facilities it was still an enjoyable stay. Nice warm room with maid service everyday. Good sized TV and shower fine. (It did...

You will get a standard Travelodge experience - clean rooms and well maintained hotel, reliable service and basic rooms. The value for money was great, given its location. I had a single room on a top floor, hence a bit small and yet quite hard to heat up, especially the bathroom.

We've stayed in Travelodges and similar chain hotels across the country and this was hands down the best experience we've ever had. The staff were incredible - actively helpful, friendly and ran by far the best Travelodge reception we've ever used. They let us check in early, were very conversational in a genuine way and held our bags for about...

As you would expect from a travelodge, basic. Great location near Bank station. No hairdryer in the room but could be requested. Bit noisy at night due to the bars on St Swithin's Lane and this was only a Thursday. Beds were comfy but the duvets were a bit cheap and flimsy. Pleasant staff and clean rooms so it did...

Stayed here with a friend last Friday night. This place is totally tucked away and it's only because I work in the area that I knew it was there. Booked a twin room and was given room 103 which is at the back of the hotel and looks out on to a very quiet Lane. The room is at the...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
