Someone needs to dust the rooms, especially behind the doors & skirting boards. Lots of noise at night. The rooms at the rear overlook a courtyard with a restaurant (not part of the Travelodge) who's staff started sorting out their bottle recycling at 23:30. On a warm night with windows open this was not ideal. At 0130 more noise from...

Just perfect for what I wanted. The room was a bit hot when going in, due to the humid weather, but there was a fan in the room which was used. Reception staff were great and would definitely recommend this location to others.

Great location and warm welcome from staff. Hotel was busy but nothing was too much trouble for them. It is a little difficult to find - look at a map before you set off don't try to find it on your iPhone map.

This hotel was great for what we wanted, It had macdonalds at the end of the street which pleased my daughter haha....It is tucked away in a little court yard with a couple of cafes near by and not far from the tube station which was ideal

Just spent two nights at the London Bank Travelodge, location is ideal for the City of London, St Pauls and Tower Bridge. For this reason the price was reasonable and with a Travelodge you know what to expect, basic and clean. The sink in the bathroom is too small or the water pressure too great, either way you splash yourself...

The hotel can be difficult to locate if you have not been there before, as the entrance is tucked away in a courtyard which is poorly sign posted (and also difficult to spot at night time). The double room was a bit small, probably due to the building into which the hotel is integrated. However, I had a very comfortable...

Hotel room fine for a couple over 3 days but make sure you get a room at the rear of hotel as external noise very bad. People use lane as a short cut and are not considerate of people in hotel. Also building work started before 8am on Sunday and 6 am on the monday. Staff very friendly and helpful,...

Yeah this is a Travelodge so you know what to expect right but this is such a great location that after meetings or training you can step out the door, go for a walk or run and see many of the great landmarks of London. Food around the area is also fantastic. I wood stay here again

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
