Beautiful hotel, steps away from Aldgate station. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. We had delicious cocktails in the bar and also ate in the restaurant, the food was amazing! Konrad made us feel like VIP’s and nothing was too much trouble, fabulous service. Our twin room was spacious and stylish, beds were so comfortable. Will definitely be back!
I stayed in the Hilton by Canopy in June of this year for three nights. We booked our accomodation on a third party website and paid in full. When we showed up to the hotel they outlined they had to place a hold on the card which would be refunded on check out. They put a hold on my card for the full amount plus 50 pound additional per night. They outlined on checking out to ask for the hold to be reversed as sometimes this could take over a month to do. On check out I requested the hold to be reversed which they said they would do. I am now two months on and the hold has not been refunded. I have been in contact with customer service who refuse to call me by phone and every email I send has a different person responding requesting the exact same information which has already been provided. I have sent copies of the two transactions onto customer service but this has still not resolved the issue. It seems they are intent in double charging me for the one room. It has been a horrendous experience dealing with this just looking to have the deposit or the hold returned to me which should be straight forward. Only stay here if you want to be ripped off, not have your deposit returned to you and have to go through layers of correspondence with no end in sight. Sadly I am still waiting for me deposit for be returned still…
My friend in London suggested us to stay in Canopy by Hilton London City because of its proximity to her apartment. It turns out one of the best hotels we stayed during our two weeks trip to Europe. Location wise Canopy by Hilton is impeccable. It is located in a quiet street with Aldgate High Street around the corner. Aldgate station is just few steps away while Liverpool Street station is within 10 min walk. You can find a few very fine coffee shops nearby the hotel, not to mention supermarket and shops etc are within easy access. The hotel is nicely decorated, simple but with details. The bed is extremely comfortable particularly for me who prefers soft bed. Too bad the rooftop bar is not open yet during our stay. Will definitely check it out next time. The hotel is now my new favourite. Look forward to staying there again when I visit London next time. …
We stayed there 3 nights. The room was clean and cozy, beds are very comfortible as where the bed linen. Breakfast buffét was great and the location is perfect. Short walk to tube and busses to get around. Great restaurants and many landmarks in short walking distance from the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful and did much in making our stay pleasent. I recommend this hotel to everyone. We are most deffinatelly staying there on our next visit to London.
Lots of positives at this hotel experience. We stayed 3 nights there and the room was spacious, gym was big for a hotel and the location is ideal (not far from Spitalfield market, shoreditch and short stroll to Aldgate tube). Breakfast was tasty but a bit of variety might serve well for long term guests The only negative I have is the house keeping. Day 1: our room was still not ready by 4pm so they put us in a different room. This is fine with us because we wanted to rest Day 2: we came back from a day of sight seeing at 4pm and room was not done. Ok - it was fine to skip house keeping today as long as we got some coffee pod and soap replacements etc. Luckily the house keeping ladies were nearby and we got what we needed. They also said they will do our room by 10am the next day Day 3: we came back at 3pm and again the room was not touched. We had to ask reception if we can get house keeping in asap so we waited at the lobby and they were able to clean the room in 20min. I’m not sure why our room is not cleaned in a timely manner, it could be lack of staff or maybe because it was at the end of the long corridor, either way it’s not the service you’d expect from a Hilton brand…
I’ve now stayed at this hotel twice this year and both times have been 5 star! Great location; it’s close to tube stations, a short walk to famous restaurants such as Duck and Waffle and the landmark Tower Bridge. Staff are friendly, professional and happy to help. Hotel and bedrooms are modern, spacious and very clean. Toiletries replenished and extra towels brought upon request. I recommend this hotel to everyone who mentions they are planning a trip to London.
The hotel is new and modern. Rooms are - as for London’s standard - a big one :). Nice lobby bar with interesting variety of cocktails. The only negative element can be heard when your room is located close to elevators. Unfortunately the sound of announcing “the doors are opening” or “the doors are closing” are disturbing your privacy when you are in your room. All the rest is pretty OK
Wow, where to start? From walking into the hotel we were immediately welcomed by the incredibly warm, friendly staff and straight away in awe of the stylish, modern interiors. This was the perfect overnight stay for our anniversary and having stayed in quite a few hotels in london, can safely say we will only be staying here in future! The incredible team made our stay perfect and every single member of staff went above and beyond at all times. The bed was SO comfortable and the room blacks out, so we had the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a long time; seriously, we didn’t want to leave! The location is ideal - just a short walk from Aldgate station or a few minutes from Aldgate East. So pleased we chose this hotel and can’t wait to return in the future. Huge thank you to the staff for such a comfortable, special stay.…
Great service, in particular Catalina, she went above and beyond and made our arrival and stay a seamless and calm process. Front start to finish, she made us all feel welcome and her alongside all the staff were very welcoming!
Don’t usually stay in this area when visiting London. We had an event close to the Tower of London, so wanted to be close. Had stayed in a Canopy in Iceland, and this one did not disappoint. Since this is a new Hotel, all the areas, are modern and in very good condition. Bedrooms are a good size, and bathrooms have a good walk in shower with plenty of pressure. The rooms are very quiet and you could not hear any outside traffic noise. No issues with any of the in room features and good air conditioning, given the heat. Bed and oversized pillows were extremely comfortable. All staff members were friendly and personable- breakfast staff especially Near plenty of restaurants and great public transport options — Would definitely return,
