I couldnt even roll my luggage through the tight space between the bed and the wall. Had to rise it over the bed to be able to find a space where I could open the case. Horrible views of the back of the building. In synchrony with the room size, small bathroom, but at least it had a tub. Climatizer...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

We chose this hotel, for a three night stay, because it is close to the V and A museum. We also found that it was close to Hyde Park and Knightsbridge shopping area. The reception area, bar area and breakfast room were very well kept and clean. Our room, a privilege room, was a good size and again well kept...

Impressed by the staff, especially the flexibility shown by arriving early at the hotel and the genuine care shown in trying to accomodate me. The hotel itself is modern and very clean. The rooms depending on the category chosen, can be spacious, and offer all the facilities standard to a 3 to 4 star hotel. Breakfast offering is fantastic showcasing...

I have stayed at this recently re-branded to Mercure hotel for 10+ years. Since being part of the Accor group both the quality and standard has improved to a level that is value for money and for London: spacious rooms, en-suite bathroom not only as a marketing tool, good bed and bedding and breakfast. Staff is proffesional, accomodating and above...

Booked through "Roomforday" to stay during night work. Over-priced for what I can get in London for much better standard. Given very small double room on top floor. The curtains didn't exclude the light as they stopped short just under the window. Contractors were working on the roof above me, banging and swearing, so couldn't initially get any sleep. When...

Great location - it's close to the museums on Cromwell Road and walking distance to the Earl's Court tube station. I got a reasonable sized single room. Staff was friendly. Parking was limited, and you need to pay extra for it.

I wish there was an average and a half rating. One of their staff members- Ivan - totally deserves an excellent and above rating - he was so helpful and nice - fun recommendations - a great guy! The breakfast was lack luster - actually kinda gross. But a great location with clean rooms and Ivan:)

Met my needs. Small but clean room. Staff friendly and helpful. Recommended . Prices not over top. Great location. Had late meal in room after arrival. Good value continental breakfasts. Reception helped me get onto internet which had been tricky.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

“The room was adequate for our stay with tea & coffee making facility plus a fridge. Hotel is ideally situated for the museums & shops. The downside was the car parking not enough at the hotel & roadside parking was expensive.”
