I try to be honest in my reviews, I usually don't care what a hotel is like as long as it's clean, I can sleep well, and I know I won't be robbed. The Hotel County fails. I was due to stay there for 3 nights, on arriving at the hotel tehre is a revolving door which is a nightmare... More

We stayed here as part of a superbreaks theatre trip. The hotel was not nice, the windows were painted over, the carpets were filthy and didnt even meet the walls, every surface was dusty, no toilet or shower in the rooms, paper thin walls- you can hear everything. Tv was about 100 years old and didnt work anyway. One shower... More

i agree with the positive reviews on here and found the hotel a great place to stay for the weekend in London. My missus has OCD and can be a bit posh and our house is immaculate so the welcome change of coming to a hotel thats been "lived in" with my mate was a bonus. the staff were pleasant,... More

Last minute I needed a room so I checked in here. They charged me &£50 for a single room for 9 hours as check out was at 11am and I didn't book till around 2am. Bed was uncomfy and pillows were stiff. Staff were rude and obnoxious. Clearly don't enjoy their jobs as they seemed to enjoy me paying over... More

The rooms are compact basic and clean , shared bathrooms on the corridors (4 rooms to 1 bathroom) this is a large budget hotel... More

Third time here and has improved with showers and toilets (shared) refurbished and new carpets to some of the rooms. Reception and porter service really helpful and great location just 3/4 mins from euston station and 20 min walk to oxford street or the strand. Front rooms are noisy with traffic but doesn't bother us so perhaps a room at... More

Where do I start? No one working there smiles, a rapist would give a better greeting. Room was dirty, bed was uncomfortable and whole decor is majorly dated. But there worst thing was the key. Not only was it an actual metal key, it was attached to a metal pole that was literally a foot long. WHY?!? What type of... More

I stayed here in december 2012. It's a simple hotel, okey! But, I have good memories. The more important that you must to know is, this hotel is in a great location. Near to Russel Square tube station, British Museum, Kings Cross... The rooms was very simple, but very clean. The facilities was shared, but very clean. The room has... More

It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
