Have lost count of how many times I have stayed here but once again this weekend it was an excellent all round experience. The reception staff are efficient, friendly and professional. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and the bathroom was also clean and well stocked with towels and all of the usual requisites. We had a meal in...

We go to London 2 to 3 times a year for the weekend. Since hotel prices in London do fluctuate a lot, we usually do not sleep in the same hotel. This time I found this hotel at a reasonable price (for us reasonable price in London means a room for 2 persons for around € 150, breakfast included). It's...

I stayed overnight on a social trip to London, taking the opportunity to explore Whitechapel. The hotel staff were all, without exception, friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and well appointed and a great breakfast greeted me in the morning. This might not be the most central of locations but with ample on-street parking at weekends it was a...

Lived in London for many years but moved away. Stayed at Holiday Inn to take my son for his operation at the The Royal London Hospital - Whitechapel. Great staff, beautiful clean rooms so couldn't ask for more. Don't be put off staying in the area. Staff gave advice where to eat and they got it spot on.

A very decent inner London hotel - clean, smart, well-maintained rooms with good climate control, nice showers and friendly staff. There's a direct bus from outside to Trafalgar Square (can take a while at peak times) or you're near a station which will connect you with the tube network. The restaurant seems decent, and has offers, but there's a small...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
