Do not book the lower ground room. Be very very careful as it did not say lower ground when we booked it. Our room had a window right beside a door to another room/walkway that the staff used to go to there room and to fetch supplies. So the noise was unreasonable to say the least. Do I think we...

This hotel was great. The room was tiny but that was expected. Nevertheless, I loved the hotel. It was located in close walking distance to food and the underground. The area it's located in is great and pretty quiet. I always felt safe. Would definitely stay here again.

Tiny bathrooms with no plug for hairdryer; the dryer is positioned by the mirror table where there is no light. The bathroom lights stay on, cannot be turned off, which requires you to use a sleep mask to properly rest. There are no storage drawers. Our room G3 faces a disgusting air shaft. The single beds are approx. 25" wide,...

My daughters and I stayed for a week here in December 2016. It's in a wonderful neighborhood, close to Bayswater station and restaurants are within walking distance. Our room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. The rate was very reasonable and the staff very courteous. We have absolutely no complaints and were very...

Stayed here for trip to Chelsea Flower Show. Hotel is in a great location with plenty of shops and places to eat within 2 min walk. Close to tube station on the circle line. Short walk to Kensington Gardens. Hotel rooms are small, but clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay here again .

In Kensington walking distance to Hyde Park and Kensington Garden and Palace this is a great location in London . Close to the tube /underground(subway) quiet street facing a small park. Rooms are a nice size and comfortable, nice breakfast at a reasonable price. I would go back for sure.

Clean hotel with great access to the tube, restaurants and pubs. Not the fanciest hotel but well worth the price. I'd definitely suggest this hotel to the traveler. We skipped breakfast, but only because of food allergies. Great homebase for a london vacation outside of the downtown area.

Location was very good for our needs, a few blocks walk to the underground and not far from a Hop On Hop Off stop and Kensington Gardens. The staff members were helpful and friendly. The rooms were quite small and we were able to work around that. The breakfast buffet opened a little late at 7:30 am, however it did...

I stayed for three nights in a standard single room. It was absolutely tiny, however, very clean and tidy. As I am not particularly fussed the small spacing didn't concern me too much. Room is equipped with TV, mini fridge, hair dryer, kettle, 4 plug sockets, 2 large towels, 1 small towel, shower gel & shampoo, coffee & tea sachets,...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
