I stayed with my wife and two daughters in a family room. The room was roomy enough, it had a safe, and the kids each had their own, comfortable twin bed. Our room was at the garden level but we didn't get much street noise. The hotel building itself is very attractive and is set among similarly attractive buildings on...

It had all the items needed for a comfortable sleep. My room was a small efficiency(?) next to the first floor elevator. I could hear whenever anybody got off of it, though it only annoyed me really late at night when I was already in bed and they were talking loudly (I was not quite asleep). Also, when people flushed...

My family of 4 stated in the lower level family room for 3 nights. The room was quiet and clean but very small for us which I expected based on other reviews. The location was great with lots of different types of cuisine in the neighborhood.

Hubby and I stayed here for 6 nights April 2017. The pros: Close to the tube (a few minutes walk from Bayswater) and short walk to Kensington Palace. Nice, safe neighborhood with Starbucks, grocery store, bank, and several places to grab a bite to eat. The hotel itself is pretty basic, but new and clean. We arrived earlier than check...

I was recommended this hotel by a colleague and he did not steer me wrong. This is a very nice hotel which is close to various amenities and even better -round the corner from a very important meeting venue. The room was beautifully laid out and the furnishing were to a high standard. The bed was big, warm and comfortable....

The London House Hotel was a wonderful experience for my daughter and I. While the 2-single bed room and bathroom was small, it worked for my daughter and I. The room itself was comfortable, although we couldn't figure out how to set the thermostat to a temperature that was comfortable for us (but that was totally our problem - NOT...

Stayed at the London House Hotel for 2 nights recently as I had got a good deal through Hotels.com. The hotel itself is located close to the tube, so a good location - also not too expensive in an Uber from central London. Overall, the rooms are small and basic - but from a city hotel perspective at a good...

I stayed at the London House Hotel in March 2017. Love the location, the staff are very helpful, the hotel itself is clean and pleasant to be in. This time I chose the small single room. It was small, but just fine for one person. I was quite happy to have a window to open. It was very quiet as...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
