A friend and I had a twin room in the basement. To our surprise it had a window and was quite a good size and quiet. Reading lights over the beds was a bonus. Small but very adequate bathroom and nice towels. We did not try the breakfast, having read others reviews but there is plenty of reasonably priced alternatives... More

During the Olympics my son and I were staying at this Hotel, which is placed by a quiet green square in walking distance of public transportation and near Queensway - a discount version of Oxford Street with shops, cafés, restaurants and a shopping center. At this hotel everything actually works:windows, curtains, TV, remote control, spot lights, lamps, shower, air con,... More

Located in a very peaceful street, overlooking a small park on one side and Whiteleys department store on the other. The hotel is far from new but has been nicely modernized. The room is very small, only 5.5 m2 plus bathroom. The worst thing is the lighting, which consists of four cold spot lamps in the ceiling and a spot... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the London House Hotel. My room was exceptionally small, but didn't detract from my stay. The bed was comfortable, the temperature control worked well, and it was quiet at night. The breakfast for 6 pounds was delicious. Overall, it was very clean and well-kept and the staff was friendly. Recommend it!

Stayed here 3/2012. Centrally located, pleasant staff. Clean cute rooms. No wash cloths, bring your own. Free wifi in lobby. Enjoyed my stay. Close to metro and shopping center is around the conner. May places to eat in walkining distance.

On repeated stays in this hotel, we have found it to be excellent value, far beyond what you might expect in London where, unfortunately even paying over the odds does not guarantee, comfort, cleanliness and welcoming and friendly staff. The rooms, although not large, are tastefully and imaginatively furnished with good quality bedding, towels etc, drink making facilities and a... More

My 11 year old daughter and I (44 year old American male) stayed at the LHH during Olympic week. I view myself as a hotel snob and often stay at the Ritz in America. We had a great stay at the Hotel. The hotel is like new and the front of the building and Lobby are beautiful. The staff is... More

Very clean and comfortable, albeit small, room. Walk to Nothing Hill, Padding, and Hyde Park. Right around the corner from Whiteleys and a few minutes walk from Westbourne Grove with all of its shops and eateries. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay for the money. North of Kensington Park and close to Bayswater Tube stop (5 minute walk). Very quiet and peaceful area. Clean linens. Newly renovated building. Extra bathrooms in the hallway and bathrooms in every room.

Price and location were good. Wi-fi not really accessible from the rooms, had to go to the lobby. Can have the reception call a taxi, but nor a retaurant, and cannot make that call from the room, had to go to a public phone on the street to reserve a restaurant.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
