What a wonderful welcome I got, as my husband is frequent visitor when on business in London. My stay as last time was just as good. I like the continental breakfast and some overseas tourists were intrigued by the crumpets on offer. Everywhere welcoming, clean...More
Blades Hotel is very basic. We would equate it to a Motel 6 here at home. We were in Room 4, which faced the front of the building and had a balcony that was above the front door. Having this door was nice, as we...More

We thank these guests for taking the time to write such a detailed review, but we feel they are not familiar at all with major city standards here in Europe. We are a small “budget hotel” and our rooms are considered generous in size for...More
This is a lovely Hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and our triple was actually larger than I had expected. It is small by US standards, but there was plenty of room for us to walk around and we...More

We thank these guests for their review but feel that they are not familiar with Westminster, London - room sizes and room rates. They were with us for 6 nights and we were able to upgrade them to a triple room at no extra charge,...More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

Many thanks for your enquiry and if you wish to come by tube, the cheapest way to travel in London is using an Oyster Card which is a contactless card that you have to tap in and off of the tube and offer you better value that the day travel card. To rent an Oyster Card, you can ask at the tube station assistance at Heathrow Terminal and there is GBP5.00 deposit which you can have back when you leave along with the residual in you card. You can just charge for pay as you go to use the capping. Capping is a feature of pay as you go which allows you to make a number of journeys in a single day but limits the amount you pay for your travel. Each time you make a journey, you are charged a fare. Once the total cost of all your fares reaches a certain amount you won't have to pay for any more journeys for the rest of the day. This is called a cap and the cost is GBP8.80 for zone 1-6 (as you are at Heathrow). From Heathrow then you can take the Piccadilly Line (blue line) and change at Green Park for the Victoria Line (light blue line) and stop at Pimlico for a journey of 40-45 mins roughly.
