This was a very late booking, chosen because of the excellent location. It is within the sound of the bells of St Paul's cathedral and a few minutes walk from Millennium Bridge, but tucked away down a very quiet side street. The apartment itself was clean and spacious - the bed was huge! Lots of wardrobe space. Shower/tub combination. Dishwasher...

We had the pleasure of staying at these apartments over the weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday in London. We stayed in a ground floor flat which is located just to the left of the elevators & the reception. Our room had 1 king bed & 1 double bed, 2 bathrooms (1 with shower, 1 with bath) The apartment had...

Walking distance to The Globe, the Tate, St Paul's, the South Bank, and other London attractions. Very convenient access to tube and rail transportation to any points within and beyond London. And amazing London fashion shopping on your doorstep, not to mention the super helpful and courteous staff that is available around the clock. The apartments have well equipped kitchens...

The Kings Wardrobe is my home in London during my frequent business trips there. The location is superb with convenient access to transportation, the heart of the City, pubs and restaurants, theaters, museums, and many major tourist attractions. The service level is unparalleled with 24 hour staff available onsite. Incredibly prompt and courteous, the staff will assist with luggage, transportation,...

We had a two room apartment so as to have flexibility of children and friends to come visit. "An extra arm chair, Sir, for the group watching the rugby match? Certainly". "Another dining chair for the dinner party? Of course, be right there Sir". Very professional yet courteous and personal.

The Kings Wardrobe is in a great location close to St. Paul's, which was ideal for my business trip. It is set in a quiet (apart from the bells of St. Paul's) courtyard and is pretty much anonymous from the street. The apartment that I stayed in was spacious, but otherwise unremarkable and in need of an update, particularly the...

First the good bits - our two bedroom apartment was very spacious - lots of room for two adults and two teenagers. The apartment has a washer/dryer, and there were extras such as a drying rack that was really useful. The location is brilliant - lots of supermarkets and eating choices, close to transport and hearing the bells of St...

My family of four recently stayed at The King's Wardrobe for 10 nights. On arrival we were warmly greeted, and as our arrival was early in the morning, our luggage was stored until a room became available to us. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, which was spacious and well equipped for our stay. One of the main...

Stay here - you won't regret it! That sums up our perfect experience. Elaborate? Ok, well, we arrived and were greeted by a friendly and professional gentleman at reception who showed us to our apartment. We had booked a 1 bedroom apartment, but were upgraded to The Residences when we checked in! We were shown to a lovely, fresh, modern,...

We booked 3 apartments for 2 nights and were bowled over by how amazing all three were! We arrived slightly later than anticipated and were greeted by the most friendly staff who were extremely helpful. The apartments were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bathroom in our apartment was large with a huge walk in shower and one of my...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
