We had a fantastic weekend in London and nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this accommodation, they were extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment we shared with friends was lovely. It was very modern, extremely warm and comfortable. The only negative was the noise outside at night! The location of these apartments is ideal for walking to...

King's Wardrobe really is exceptional. Your own private courtyard on a quiet narrow street yet very close to all the hustle and bustle of The City. Clean and tastefully furnished with access to a front desk. In my opinion the best of a hotel and an apartment, and yes, better than a "for rental by owner" with no fuss about...

I'm immediately impressed by an apartment check-in where they hand you your key and the wifi code, carry your bags to your room and then spare you the endless superfluous welcome info. Well done! We were thrilled to be given the top floor penthouse - wow! Our stay was superb, even if St Paul's rang their bells every hour!!!

We booked this apartment months ago from South Africa using the online system. Having read various reviews we made the choice. These apartments are within sight of St Pauls ( we had a penthouse suite). We booked a double bedroom unit. The apartment had two spacious, not vast, bedrooms, one en suite bathroom and one shower only bathroom. The lounge...

Such a wonderful serviced apartments with mesmerising views of St. Paul's Cathedral. Great location a block or two from St Paul's and right near the Thames. Felt very safe in the room. The washing machine was having troubles but the staff allowed us to use one of the rooms below us for washing facilities which was very nice of them....

The Area: The King's Wardrobe has a very good location - it's literally 1 minutes walk to St. Pauls Cathedral and 3-4 min. walk to the St. Paul's tube station which is on the Central Line. The area has several decent restaurants and bars and you can walk to Tate Modern in 10 min and the London Bridge in 15...

For the third successive year my wife and I recently stayed for four nights at the King's Wardrobe and had a wonderful experience. I have been visiting London for the past 35 years and have yet to find superior accommodation. The apartments are really comfortable and well appointed and located in a safe, easily accessible part of London close to...

I stayed here for 3 nights and almost went completely mad due to the sound of St Paul's bells, which ring every quarter hour ALL NIGHT and which penetrate the old single glazed windows with barely any reduction in intensity at all. One night I finally fell asleep at 6.30am THE NEXT MORNING and missed half my appointments the next...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
