We booked this hotel for its location as we were going to the Royal Albert hall 20.4.17. Really nice hotel, all amenities, air conditioning, tv, free WIFI, fridge, safe, tea and coffee in the room, comfortable high bed, decent shower, shower gel, shampoo etc. Really nice staff, really helpful. We paid for breakfast when we arrived which gave us a...

What a lovely hotel in a perfect location for the Royal Albert Hall as well as the Natural History, Science and V&A museums. Staff were welcoming and polite. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. I would like to have seen Fire Escape instructions clearly defined in the rooms however, especially as we were on a lower floor and...

First things first! This is a hotel in Knightsbridge for about the same price as some of the B&Bs in the Kings Cross area. So if you're expecting a five-star experience, you may be disappointed. But that's not to say it's a bad place to stay. Quite the opposite! I was very impressed with the value. Yes, the rooms are...

The staff at the Montana Hotel is really nice, and helpful at the front desk. The location is less than a block from Gloucester station on the tube, so it's really convenient. There are many cafes, stores and pubs within a short walk. The room is really small. No nightstand on either side of the bed. The shower barely puts...

Very pleasant and helpful staff always with a smile and kind word. Rooms are rather dated but they are clean. Kettle and tea supplies in room are much appreciated. My bathroom was small and cramped, but really I spent most of my time elsewhere so it's not a big concern. Great buffet or full English breakfast at what must be...

The defining aspect of our stay at the Montana Hotel was the staff. Every single employee we met was polite, helpful, and accommodating. They were exceptional, making a dream vacation great. When we had a snafu with the in-room safe, one of the front desk agents came up to help us get our things out with no extra charge. Unfortunately,...

I stayed here for 2 nights in March with my son. I felt the room was very clean with everything you need for a short stay. The staff were very helpful indeed and very friendly. Definitely worth the money. We would stay her again, a great find. Close to lots of shops, restaurants and sights.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
