I stayed here for a reunion weekend with friends. The location is fantastic, walking distance from Waterloo station and to all the facilities on the South Bank and as far as Covent Garden. A buffet breakfast was included in the price, and although there was a big queue it moved quickly and there was a lot of choice of food items. The room was quite small but clean and comfortable.

This is a good basic room with a great breakfast. Ideal for anyone wanting a budget night in London. The room is basic but clean, I had a bathroom with shower basin and loo . It is a big place and dining is communal! The bus goes from King’s Cross to Blackfriars bridge from there it is about an 8 minute walk.

My daughter and I shared a twin room for 6 nights in September. Great location, close to public transport and also easy to walk everywhere. The room was spacious and the bathroom fine. No aircon but that's common in London. Cost included buffet breakfast which was fab, with so many options! Our only gripe was that the tap water was not potable so we had to fill up our drink bottles on the bottom floor. Would stay again.

This particular hotel was one of the few options we had for a room with three separate beds. It is located in the city center and has 3 metro stations within a 10 minute walk. The room on the ground floor, standard with cleaning every two days. Our sheets were never changed during our six day stay. Without TV, mini bar, with towels The breakfast is good in a buffet and with a large selection. The reception staff is helpful. It has a luggage storage area, which we needed since our flight was late at night. What I concluded is that it is essentially a student residence which in the summer months turns into a bed and breakfast. Who is looking for a good budget option fairly centrally and does not have high requirements is fine.

I came back to Bankside House after staying there over 20 years ago. It is still an excellent budget accommodation, and its location is much better now, as the area has become lively and full of interesting things to do and see. I had a single room with private bathroom, which was clean and in good conditions, with a nice view on the Tate Modern Gallery. Breakfast is excellent.

Situated in a perfect place , close to the millennium bridge and St Paul’s cathedral . We walked everywere even into the centre to see Les Miserables . Really comfy and clean . Could do with decorating and updating but because the price reflected the place and the breakfast was really good . Only th8ng it could do with is a water coolant upstairs as well as downstairs . Would definately book again . We are waiting for the next dates that the rooms become available .

Staff was very rude and dismissive. My roomate and I both got very sick and when we asked the staff about mold they denied any existing issues and essentially dismissed out inquiry. We later found loads of BLACK MOLD in the ceiling panels that had been making us very sick with chest infections. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This was a truly horrible place to stay. Firstly it’s impossible to find and miles from anywhere. Secondly the desk shuts at 7pm, they just lie about that online. There’s a security guy on only after 7pm. Thirdly the bag place shuts at 7pm which they also lie about online. Now let’s get to the rooms. Oh my goodness I don’t know what to say except I wouldn’t let my pet stay in one. I had a RUSTY METAL SINGLE CAMPING BED. It was disgusting. The bathroom was small, dirty and foul. The towels were hand towels. It was an awful experience. It was my daughters last night in the U.K. before heading to Heathrow and going abroad for a year and this place literally ruined our last night together. They’ve given me 50% refund- I demanded a full refund and they’re not responding now through booking.com or to me. It wasn’t worth £5. So DO NOT STAY HERE. Stay in a hostel over this place. They said I didn’t complain at the time- who to? We arrived after 7pm and left early to go to the airport
