Very good value in a convenient location. Very clean throughout with an excellent breakfast. Also found the free access to the internet useful

We had very helpful reception staff, who gave us directions, helped with recommendations on food around the area also. The room itself was small, as most european hotels are, but enough room for our two big suitcases, and had a nice closet. the bed was fairly comfortable, we had no trouble sleeping the nights we were there, it was quiet... Spent 2 weeks here w/ friends. Good value; good breakfast; free internet and Wi-fi. Staff is helpful and friendly. Close to trains and underground; good restaurants nearby. Hotel is a little faded and needs some updating, but it's a 200 year old building and the location cannot be beat and the price is reasonable. Rooms and ensuite bathrooms are small... More

For what we paid and the other hotels I reviewed on a similar pricerange and warning my partner to expect very little I was very pleasently surprised! Our room had a double bed, wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers, sink and flat screen TV, and an Iron and hair dryer and kettle. Due to booking last minute we had... More

Converted townhomes make for a somewhat creaky but definitely homey atmosphere in this superb location in London. The hotel is close to good local restaurants and Tube and rail stations, as well as to the British Museum and Library. The staff are hospitable, friendly and accomodating. Very good breakfasts in a somewhat crowded dining room. Book ahead!

Would recomment this hotel for a convenient, reasonably priced, clean accommodation. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was very good, the room was very clean. The only bad point was the size of the bathroom, whilst bending over the sink you pushed the bathroom door open with your bum.

The best thing about the George Hotel was the location - it is a five minute walk from Russell Square station and with London's Underground system, this means you can get to pretty much anywhere in the city in minutes. It is also walking distance to Kings Cross/St Pancrass Station - we took the Eurostar from there to Paris so... More

This Hotel needs to be rated as a three star. We stayed at a five star for a couple of nights and that was four times as much. Reception were pleasant and helpful and breakfast staff service were very good. We had room 202 which included ensuite and toilet. You have the option to share bathrooms but for the sake... More

The price is cheap, location near St. Pancras Station is ideal, the breakfast staff very kind. As long as you're not looking for more than that. The front desk staff spent more time looking at their computer than welcoming their customers. With two people in a cramped double room on the top floor we could barely walk around. The blanket... First, if you get a confirmation that says you can check in early, it is not worth the paper it is printed on. After a long overseas flight and getting there around noon was told that check in was 1:30pm but they were running late and that it would be actually 2pm. Did not matter about the confirmation. There is... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
