When we arrived the owner was friendly and laid back. We were worried to see how tattered the reception was but this did not continue into the rooms themselves which were clean and recently decorated. We stayed in an en suite double room which was an ok size the shower itself needs upgrading. Very convenient to london kings cross less...

I spent one night at this hotel in a single room with shared facilities. The hotel is in a convenient location as it is less than a 5 minute walk to Kings Cross and St Pancras rail stations. While this area has a bit of a dodgy reputation I have to say I didn't feel uncomfortable walking back to the...

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, helping my daughter to move to London to study for the semester. First 2 nights I stayed in room 202, ensuite unit, that was very clean, shower was great, the bed was OK, and it was very quiet even though the room was on the street side. There were some plumbing noises...

If you are talking about small hotels in London central area, MacDonald Hotel is much better than my expectation. The location is excellent, king's cross tube station is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel rooms are not big, with two beds, a washing basin, TV, and two small cupboards. You have all the basic necessities you need:...

I stayed here for one night last november. It is close to King's Cross station on a small square overlooking a park. The park is closed at night, but people were climbing the fence all night to play basketball. There is no curfew because they give you the keys to your room and front door. I had a single room...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
