It depends on what you need/want really, very hand location and I guess quite cheap for London but it's all very much run down, twin rooms have very small single beds, but in fairness I didn't have any problems while staying here and what I saw of the staff no issue there either. You get what you pay for.

Stayed here one night as close to St Pancrass and had a Eurostar in the morning. You get a room, small room and small bathroom with cramped shower. This is really fitting you in as small a space as possible. Main problem is the noise, it seems everyone with a large motorbike without an exhaust has to give it the...

Like many others I imagine, we were a bit worried about the quality of this hotel after reading online reviews, but were actually pleasantly surprised when we got there. You absolutely cannot fault the location; it is a 3 minute walk to kings cross and there are plenty of cafés, restaurants and grocery stores in the vicinity. In terms of...

Good location...but very very basic, could really do with a Complete renovation. If you just want some where to lay your head for the night...and not fussed about a very basic hotel it would be ok, its also very hot and noisy.

This hotel is near the Kings Cross Station on about 10mins walk. Initially we got a room on the first floor, double bed. But our booking was of twin bed. After discussing our booking with the receptionist we got our room on the ground floor which was a twin bed room. The hotel is a standard hotel. The room didn't...

Old style hotel but clean. Had a bit of a musty smell about it.... I think they need new carpets, but otherwise very clean. A few minutes walk to St Pancras International station. Staff very friendly and helpful.

For the money you spend on a room i wasn't expecting the ritz. It was a place to sleep after a night out and it worked for that purpose. the room did smell like moth balls, and the bathroom smelt even worse. The heat in the room was so hot we had to have the windows open the whole time,...

We chose the Arriva Hotel as it is near Kings Cross and the reviews were mostly positive. We had a twin room which was extremely small and basic which is what we expected from the reviews and it was ready for us on our arrival. The room was dirty, there was grit/soil on the carpet which was only evident (due...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
