It is a great place to stay for solo travel as the location is very convenience from the airport and to other attractions. It is very easy to find the hotel as well from the tube station. When I checked in, the guy is very friendly and upgraded me to a bigger room with microwave and small fridge. He even...

We stopped here after getting a last minute deal off the internet, and needed a location close to the Royal Albert Hall. Having paid just over £40 each for two single rooms, we weren't expecting a lot, but as it was just for one night we weren't really bothered. But the hotel exceeded our expectations, firstly we were both upgraded...

We stayed at The Jade for 6 nights. We usually stay near Earl's Court and our regular hotel was under renovation so we had to try somewhere new. The Jade was clean and nice... but very, very small. The staff was super friendly and nice. There is someone at the desk 24/7 and always greeted us with a smile. They...

I stayed here for two nights. The room is very small but clean, comfortable and looks far better then one would expect from a relatively cheap hotel. I did have a room at the back where you can hear the train passing by (nothing though that a set of earplugs can fix). The location is very close to a tube...

This is the perfect place for someone who will be out and about during the day. The rooms are small, butvery clean, the bed comfortable, and a very short walk to the Earl's Court tube station. You had everything you needed for a visit -- a tiny kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, tea kettle, etc.. I was in a basement...

Pleasantly surprised by the conditions - everything looks fresh and re-innovated, clean and comfortable. Not something you necessarily expect from a London hotel at this price range. The staff was very friendly, accessible and most of all - helpful. The rooms are small but well equipped with everything you might need for a pleasant, problem free stay. Bathroom was very...

24 hour reception, and the entrance is lit up jade green so the hotel is very easy to find at night. Great location from Earl's Court subway - there is a waitrose, pubs and restaurants all very close. Felt like a very safe area even late at night. The rooms are small but that is to be expected in London....

This hotel is much better than what any of the photos show on this site & the owners have even been making improvements during our stay of 5 nights. Room small but when you're travelling it does the job. Great friendly service. Very clean. The best part is the location. Located in a gorgeous street and close to Earls Court...

Really great location. Room spotlessly clean. Great value for money. Lovely staff. The original hotel I booked hadn't got internet facilities for my iPad so the Jade was a last minute booking and am so glad this is where I stayed.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
