I stayed here for one night with my son to watch another son run the London Marathon 2017. The good things of this Hotel are the location, the price and the breakfast. The bed thing (for me) was the bed. One side of the bed was missing the springs or the bedframe.... it was very uncomfortable. It is a very...

The Howard Winchester Hotel in King's Cross is the perfect overnight base for a weary traveller. Arriving on a late Eurostar, we were delighted that the hotel is an easy 4 to 5 minute walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras. Set on a peaceful square and overlooking a park, it is located in a pretty and engaging neighbourhood, despite the surrounding...

This hotel is clean basic does the job. It's a pity the reception is not double used as a bar as it's 24 hour and has the space to convert the reception to double use. I really enjoyed the location. Everything is on your doorstep. But it's about a 25 minute walk to central London or a tenner with a Gett...

So, what's good about this hotel? Comfortable beds, easy walk from Kings Cross Station, helpful staff. Surprisingly quiet for location. English cooked breakfast acceptable That's about it really. Extremely small room up 3 flights of narrow stairs. Had to squeeze past basin to get to bed. Funny wet room arrangement for shower. No hot water when I arrived during the...

A great little hotel, literally 3 minutes walk from Kings Cross. No frills, but gets the basics right - bed very clean and comfortable, breakfast tasty and filling. You won't find a cheaper/better value option in this part of London. Ok, the ensuite bathroom is small, the TV is small, the carpets aren't the newest, and the walls are a...

We were visiting London for a show and wanted somewhere convenient to St Pancras so that we didn't have to travel far with cases. The hotel certainly is that as it is only a couple of minutes from the station. On approach it certainly looks appealing. As we had arrived first thing in the morning we had previously asked if...

We stayed over night here at the lower floor with one window. There are television and extra heater but we prefer kettle and mugs that quite useful. Water pressure is not enough to run a shower and the most difficult thing is the noise from upstair. Don't expect to have a good English breakfast but it is convenient to have...

We stayed at the Howard Winchester for a one night stay due to its proximity to the train station. If you are needing somewhere clean to stay to catch a train, this place is perfect for that. If you are looking to spend some time in London, stay elsewhere. We booked a triple room and were assigned to a bottom...

Horrible hotel and no value for money. Bearing in mind a premier in Covent garden was cheaper but i was to late to book it by the time I had confirmed my train tickets. The room was hostel standard. A bucket under the sink which I think was doubled up as a bin....but main purpose was for the dripping tap....

This was our second visit to the Howard Winchester Hotel. It's hard to fault at the price. The rooms are spotlessly clean, beds are comfortable, staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for 5* luxury this isn't the place for your but if you're looking for a crash pad in a great location this can't be beaten.

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
