Stopped over 2 nights for theatre and sightseeing, great location, close to station, shops- eateries etc. Our room(11) was on the third floor and was dated but very clean, pure white sheets and towels so no complaints, plenty of tea and coffee, also soap. There was housekeeping on the first morning with fresh towels which was lovely. I have to say the bathroom was the smallest we have ever seen but it's awkward changing lovely old Victorian rooms into on suite, we managed fine in the end. The breakfast was brilliant, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and then a cooked breakfast made to order was included in the price. The hosts were great, very friendly and helpful offering advice where to go and how to get there, both mornings brought smiles to our faces. We will definitely stay here again next time in London and recommend to others, Thank you

For the money this is perfect - centrally located, beautiful old building, nice and friendly owners, good english breakfast, clean room ( number 6) with two good beds and the world's smallest bathroom (but it worked well anyway).

Room Tip: If you're not too tall or wide (in relation to the small bathroom), room 6 is very nice.

Cannot beat the location for convenience as it’s close to Victoria Station and easy to get to Buckingham Palace and some other key sites plus handy for central train and coach station. Lots of pubs and stores close by. The hosts are amazing and the full breakfast is more than generous. Clean accommodations. A bit noisy one night on the street. We’d stay here again. We recommend it. They have a nice patio to sit out on and enjoy which is a nice extra.

Overnight stay with family for Theatre break and sightseeing. Very well placed Hotel for Apollo Theatre, in relatively quiet street. Very friendly hosts. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Compact, but serviceable en suites with piping hot showers. Fabulous breakfast. Decor looking a bit jaded but did not detract from stay. Good value for money. Would definitely return

Trading standards need to be notified ASAP Even there website says its a hotel with 3 stars. They are lying it has no stars....even the owner admitted they were not a hotel but a B&B - they are ripping people off. The furniture in the room is old, the cubicle for the shower and toilet is smaller than most peoples under the stairs cupboards. Breakfast was a joke - burnt sausage and when questioned was told that most people like them burnt!!!???? Since when? DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT CHEAP AND NASTY, I AM SURE YOU CAN GET BETTER FOR SAME MONEY

Response from Mark C, Owner at Lynton Hotel London
Responded 24 Nov 2019
It is always regrettable when one of our guests experiences conditions that fail to meet his/her expectations. As should be clear from our website, our TripAdvisor reviews and our prices, we aim to offer an affordable service for travellers to the capital. Our advertising makes it quite clear that we are a small family-run business based out of a Georgian townhouse. Both the nature of our business and its location has proven very popular with visitors over the last 54 years. The nature of the building- and we take great pains to point this out- means that most of the bathrooms are on the smaller side. You would, however, struggle to find larger bathrooms in a Belgravia Bed and Breakfast charging similar prices to ours. Indeed, many reviewers on TripAdvisor make the point that we are very good value for the prices we charge. We are an affordable Bed and Breakfast. That’s what we say we are. We strive to provide top quality services for those prices – and we are, of course sorry when any guest is disappointed with the facilities. That top quality service includes a traditional English breakfast – one which did go down a treat with everyone else in the breakfast room on the morning of your visit! Everyone likes their sausages cooked in different ways. The one thing we can guarantee is that they will not be burnt – although they may be slightly more well done than the guest is used to at home! We will, however take your feedback on board when thinking about how to cook our sausages in the future.

We stayed 4 nights in September 2019. The location is perfect as 5 minutes walk from Victoria train, coach and underground stations. About 15 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace. Mark and Simon were both friendly and welcoming. Nice cooked breakfast made to order. There is a nice bakery a couple of minutes away. McDonald's in the train station. The only drawback is the bathroom if you can call it a bathroom. It is more a camp trailer bathroom. Barely enough room to turn around and for a tall or larger size person this would be impossible. Bring your own shampoo. The room fits a double bed and not much else. We spent little time in the room as our first visit to London was spent exploring the city. So if you just want a convenient and clean room, this is perfect.

Spent a lovely weekend in London and the Lynton Hotel is a perfect place to stay. Simon is an absolute joy and nothing is too much trouble. We visited the Apollo Theatre to see Wicked, the theatre is within easy walking distance . The next evening we ended up doing a two hour ghost walk ( with Strawberry tours ) the tour ended close to Buckingham palace again a pleasant walk back to the hotel stopping off for a drink along the way. I will definitely use the Lynton Hotel again and did I mention the cooked breakfast? ( which is included ) . A brilliant start to the day . Again very close to transport links with Victoria train and bus stations being within walking distance, we arrived early and Simon allows you to leave your cases and go off sightseeing and check in later on . There are tea making facilities in the room for a well deserved cuppa at the end of the day .

This hotel was exactly as advertised. Great value in a great location with a friendly and helpful staff. Full English breakfast was good. Hotel is very close to Victoria station. Room was fairly good sized, bathroom was small but OK. The best part of the hotel is the people who run it:) Thanks again for all your help and great advices

We loved staying here! Location is excellent, the breakfast is excellent and the people are excellent. Simon and the other man (Len?) were so nice to us and helpful, we couldnt thank them enough! The room fronted onto the street, but waant noisy overnight. We had everything we needed in the room. On request we had been accommodated in a room close to the ground floor. The english breakfast was to die for, we were sad we missed it on the first day! A home cooked meal was just what we needed after a month on the road. The hotel was well connected with cabs, trains, tour office, national express buses, pubs, buckingham palace and sainsbury local (grocery store). Will definitely return next year on our next trip in London. You feel apart of the family there, the guys always checking in to see where you have been or where you are going. Always ready to help. Thank you.

When we arrived, the door was locked, the phone said "leave a message", and we were waiting under the rain for long time to be allowed in. Our room on the ground floor had three narrow hard beds and not even single chair.

Response from Mark C, General Manager at Lynton Hotel London
Responded 19 Jul 2019
Sorry you had a bad experience, but I do think you have missed what happened on the day. I was at the top of the house helping a guest in a room. I did leave a message on door saying I was at the top the house; it did have my mobile number on it and a request asking people to keep on ringing doorbell. For some reason my phone did not ring on coming back down to ground level I went back to my office area and noticed some people standing on the step ;when it rains people often stand under our balcony after a few minutes they lightly knocked on the front door which I only heard because I was not far from it .They had not seen the doorbell. I repeat I’m sorry that you did not find the doorbell;but if you do not make yourselves known I can not do anything.
