The worst experience of my life!!! They overcharge you for everything. It is dirty, the food is disgusting, the people are nasty, they have a number of hidden charges, they upcharfe rooms. The water pressure sucks! It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I wish I had never heard of this place.

All in all the self-description on their website is not really wrong, but it's the missing parts that make the story whole, such as in re. to - Breakfast (included): Some of the stuff I've seen I wouldn't serve to a stray dog. - WiFi (included): Was not working (and probably still isn't) for almost two weeks, management doesn't take... I stayed there for two nights. it started with the issue that at hostelbookers it said there are twin bed rooms available. I booked one for my brother and me (20 & 22 yrs). we got a double because there Are NO twin bed rooms. well, you can't change that, may be a misunderstanding. the room seemed to be quite... More

This was the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. First impressions were horrible, the staff were impolite and the room dirty and it just got worse. The first night I got attacked by bedbugs while I slept. We spent a second night there but got a refund for our third night. It took months for the signs of the bedbug... More

I'll start with the positives; The hostel is 30 seconds from the tube, it is small and therefore no large noisy groups, the self help breakfast is included in the price. As other reviews have mentioned the bathroom situation is not good. The shower cubicles are tiny so getting dressed is not an option and like most travelers I had... More

......at O'Callaghans!... In those days, it was clean, very cheap, and Mr O'Callaghans himself was running his business with a strange looking guy. I would give a fortune to be back, and also go to our restaurant "The Hungry Years" ......I came back in the 80's it was still very good, and I popped in just to have a look... More

This hostel, really well located in the center of London, is simple but will meet your needs if you don't ask for too much. The building is very old but it's very clean. Breakfast is included in a "serve it yourself" format and WiFi is free (note that you can't watch videos). The ambient is good, and the building was... More

And I thought the previous hostel was average... THIS PLACE WAS DISGUSTING! I think they knew I got a crappy room hence why I only got one roommate for two nights and nobody on the last night (so essentially a single room for a 4 bed price). It really wasn't worth it though, I'd prefer a clean room full of... More

Pretty much across the road from the Tube Station and on the Picadilly line so was a great place to stay on route to or from Heathrow! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms and rooms were clean. Close to restaurants and supermarkets as well. Breakfast is included and was a welcoming laid back affair. Would definitely stay again!

Very easy to find, literally over the road from the tube station. Really nice staff, and the rooms were basic but clean and quiet, with a locker for security.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
