Staying at the Malmaison is like having your own pied a terre in London. Charterhouse Square is just gorgeous and it was lovely to be able to stay there. Considering the location the price was very good value for money. The staff were very helpful - happy to change our room for one with a view of the square, arranging to hold our bags and organising an early check-in. The room was beautifully clean and the bathroom, although small, was spotless and well-appointed. The shower was a bit tricky to work-out but that probably says more about me than the hotel! We would definitely stay there again - hopefully for longer next time. We didn't have breakfast there but chose to eat nearby.

Matched what I expected for the room cost. Quirky hotel, comfortable and good breakfast. Was a bit surprised that there was no room service available at 4pm on a Monday afternoon but apart from that was happy. Would come back here for sure and recommend to people.

Superb quiet location and really comfy bed. Windows you can open and delightful staff. Dreadful selection of reading material (I think probably meant to be ironic 70s !) and lack of drawers in the bedroom could be easily remedied, as there is plenty of room.

There is a cardboard of information in the bathroom that says that if you opt out of housekeeping services, you will either be given a treat or the hotel will donate to charity. We opted out of housekeeping and heard nothing about any treat and nothing about any donation. Other than this, the staff seemed very attentive. Breakfast staff were lovely even though there are complications on the breakfast menu itself.

Check in is dismissive for a great located hotel. Such a shame as room is lovely. : comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast though was a mega disappointment- having pre advised Gluten Free as an allergy - only really offered fruit and coffee - not right for a £200 hotel - may be ok if a travelodge and £50 The bar experience was very much like they were doing us favour serving a drink. Now ,appreciate there are staff difficulties- but there was no problem double taking the bill ( now corrected I am assured) but really would not recommend this one even the rooms are lovely.
