The Clarendon Hotel overlooks historic Blackheath. This area of London is very special with Greenwich Park, the River Thames and many fine attractions to visit. Situated in Blackheath Village with its many special shops, cafes and bars to enjoy, the Clarendon offers a village atmosphere close to the O2 Arena (10 mins), Central London and Excel in Docklands. All rooms are en-suite with facilities such as the Meridian Restaurant, Nautical Chart Bar. Parking - the hotel has a front and rear car park, however these do get filled. For alternative parking, there is street parking or the Blackheath Village train station car park, which has CCTV. With Blackheath in front of the hotel, we are of course dog friendly.

Due to building works At my property I found myself homeless for a period of time and had to book for 4 nights at this lovely hotel. Despite high levels of stress Jana (the Receptionist) came to my rescue. Upon my late arrival she ensured my car was parked in a secure location

Don’t know much about the hotel as I just checked in but I am full of praise for the receptionist who checked us in. Jana (I think) most patiently re-arranged a booking for me that I had made in error for next month instead of this. While we were waiting for her to deal with it

I stayed in the Clarendon for one night and I paid about a third of the price of hotels in Central London. It is old fashioned, but in a charming way. The staff are lovely & the cooked to order breakfast (inclusive in the price) was very good. It’s easy to get in to Central

Dear Sarah, thank you for your review, knowing that you found better value, by visiting us in Blackheath is really helpful. Esp 1/3 of the price form hotels just a few miles away. Blackheath is charming, thank you for your comments also regarding our loyal hard working team.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay - the only slight drawback was wanting breakfast on Sunday at the due time of 8am but there being no tables available because of a coach party of schoolchildren. If they were to have breakfast at 7.30am then some tables should have been available by

Dear Guest, thank you for your review, it is great that you enjoyed your stay, sorry we did have a unusual breakfast the other Sunday, generally this is not the situation. Thank you for 5 stars even with this minor point, we really appreciate it.

Blackheath is serviced by the overground from the Blackheath Station. It takes you into Central London (London Bridge, Victoria, Charring Cross & Cannon Street, Waterloo East) Journey time is 20-25 mins. Lewisham nearby is service by the DLR and you have the Jubilee Line from the O2 (North Greenwich) which is 10 mins by bus. - The overground is nice and you get the view.

The village has everything form Cotes to Cafe Rouge, and many independents restaurants. And a good Napelise Everest Inn. Take a walk round the village is such a nice stroll. The hotel offer good bar and restaurant food at excellent prices also.

Depends on whether have disabled railcard if disabled, this can reduce travel costs. Best idea is travel card or oyster as now known, this means abuse bus, tube and train. Best look on line or ask staff at hotel on reception as not only very helpful but also very knowlegable. Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay.
