Great service and a really cool cocktail menu - loved the theatrical addition to the martini. The atmosphere is good with seating arranged well for small groups and couples. Lots of curiosities around.

I've stayed at this hotel on many occasions and each time I return I smile as I arrive. The staff are calm and welcoming, the rooms quirky but very comfortable, particularly if you treat yourself to a rooftop studio. Excellent restaurant serves all day food including a decent breakfast. This is not a hotel for several days of gentility but...

I visited the townhouse for a party downstairs in the Games Room. It is a great venue a bit quirky but really fun and a relaxing place to socialise in. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The canapes that were served were delicious - really unusual but proper food like mini ravioli, scotch eggs (but v good ones!) and mini...

I can't count how many times we've stayed at The Zetter. It's really been our favourite place to stay in London pretty much since it opened. So for our most recent trip to the city we thought we'd book at their new property, just round the corner, particularly because we'd heard that the cocktail lounge was fantastic. At first sight...

I can't praise this property enough. The rooms are super cool and large compared to other hotels I have stayed at in London. The bathroom amenities like the rain type shower head and the modern sinks are a great benefit. The building is well modeled and looks beautiful. If you are ever in London, this is the place to stay!

Won a night at the Zetter townhouse and tried to book a night there however was only able to book in at the hotel in a superior room. I was told that a room was available on the dates given but when I mentioned it was a voucher I was using I was called back with the offer of the...

When we couldn't get into the hotel we desired, we booked into the Zetter close by. From the website, we thought it was a charming older hotel. While that part exists, we were put into a chain hotel style small room at a very high price. While the restaurant is good, the hotel appears to be overrated. Service from the...

This is a stylish, comfortable, clean and well-managed hotel. The only negative for me was the size of my room, tiny, and its location next to the vending and coffee machines, both of which were noisy. If you do chose to stay here, and I would still highly recommend it, remember to request a room away from this location, the...

Popped in for a Sunday evening stay after an enjoyable but rather overindulgent birthday party Saturday night. It's the second time we've stayed here, and it was better than the first. The staff are wonderful, friendly and obliging throughout the hotel, restaurant and Townhouse. And talking of the Townhouse, make sure you don't miss out by not popping across. After...

We stayed here when we attended a wedding nearby, rooms were quite costly but as the location was perfect we went for it. Staff were lovely and very friendly, even happily extending the checkout time for us. Rooms however are not huge, and although funky and stylish do not have adequate hanging or storage space which is quite a let...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
