Hotel's Favourite
We had a great week long stay at the hotel. The location (close to Tate Modern, Borough Market and Shakespeare's Globe) and amenities were great but the highlight was the friendly and welcoming staff though the hotel. We felt very well looked after and will return to the hotel anytime.

I stayed here for a night as I had friends visiting London and didn't want to travel on public transport during the football mayhem. On arrival, I had to press a bell to enter, but this was obviously to keep all of the football revellers out and only allow guests in and this gave me added piece of mind. Check in was seamless and friendly and I was really rather surprised by how wonderful and spacious the room was for such a relatively low price. The hotel has an old cinema type aesthetic and the design and decor are both modern, yet retro. The room had a partial view of The Shard and as I was working from the room the next day, I was pleased to have excellent and speedy wifi. Breakfast was really well done. Lots of choice with pastries, toast, boiled eggs, muffins, doughnuts, cereals, yoghurt, juices etc. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London. The location is perfect (5 mins to Borough Market), the rooms are spotless and quiet with great air conditioning and the team there is amazing! So friendly and helpful! I will definitely be back.

We came to London for wife's belated birthday gift to see a show. The hotel is theatre theatre theme based & very well decorated and presented. Very warm feel and the reception staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you have not paid up front payment is taken on arrival. After signing in you are given a brief tour of the downstairs facilities such as onsite bar and restaurant area. Free Tea and Coffee is available to all paid guests 24hrs a day. We got into our room which again is very well decorated and well lit. The room is a decent size and was adequate for both of us with ample space. the room comprises of a standard double bed (which was a bit on the firm side) with a wall art surround, a decent size wardrobe (if you are only here for a few nights) bed side tables, writing desk and chair. The TV is very stylishly wall mounted into a flush fit Unit. There is a very good 6ft wall mounted mirror for when the ladies are readying themselves for the day or night ahead. The room also has AC/Heating but even in January with the outside temps at 7c we had to have the window open and the heating off as it was so warm. Contained within the wardrobe is a kettle and tea making facilities for ya early morning or late night brew, an iron and an ironing board which is a massive plus as a lot of hotels you have to ask for these at receptions. The bathroom is a decent size for two people but although our bathroom did have the standard toilet, sink & shower it did not have a bath so if you are requiring a bath for medical reasons I would enquire before hand. That aside we had no complaints at all about the room and would say it is by far one of the better room we have stopped in. Downstairs in the morning breakfast is served between 06:00 & 10:00 and is a continental style breakfast which is more than a adequate to set you up for the next few hours before you hog out in the city. Onsite paid parking is available but this is the major downside as parking is charged at between £25 & £27 per day but wether that is good compared to local street parking prices I'm unsure but being from up North anything over £4 a day is scandalous. The hotel itself is less than 1 mile from London Bridge and 1/2 mile from Tower Bridge but is a great walk along the Thames passing by numerous little eateries, bars, Borough Market, Golden Hinde mock up and HMS Belfast and only takes approx 15-20 minutes steady walking. You are also only 1 minute away from a bus stop or 5 - 7 minutes away from Tower Bridge tube station giving you access to the City in minutes. All in all we will be returning to this hotel in the future as for the money & location we thought it was great value.

Stayed here for a weekend in mid February. This hotel is a few minutes walk across Southwark Bridge from Cannon Street station or a similar length walk from London Bridge station. The actual location of the place was very quiet and peaceful so was perfect with there being plenty of places to eat and drink a short walk away.
The hotel itslef was very clean and quirky. The entire place was decorated out to be like a film studio or theatre stage. It was very well done and looked really good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a nice average size room which was also decorated out in a similar style. It was a standard size with everything you would expect in there. There was little of no drawer space though to put items in. The bathroom was a decent size but unfortunately the shower plug hole was badly blocked meaning you had to keep turning the water off to get it to drain otherwise you would flood the bathroom floor (we didn't report it to reception).
Breakfast was nice with a good variety on offer. However it was continental style only with no full English on offer which was a little surprising as other Ibis hotels I have stayed at have offerred both options. All in all though a very nice stay.

We stayed three nights at this Hotel, the first two nights in The Iconic Shard View room fand then swapped to a suite as we wanted to try that room too.
We loved the decor! It’s amazing 🎩 and the staff were fantastic! We enjoyed the breakfast in Showtime Restaurant and ate next door for dinner as the Ibis Restaurant is currently closed for dinner due to Covid but that didn’t matter.
Great location for walking to Tower Bridge or over to St Paul’s, we always walk around rather than use taxis or the underground and the location is great! Plus you are right next to Borough Market. We also went to the market at the Vinegar Yard Sunday which was worth visiting!
We will definitely be returning, in fact we plan to go back next month in July! That’s how much we loved it! ❤️
Breakfast is included in the room rate and being Accor Members we both were given a card to entitle us to one free drink each during our stay!
Thank you all at Hotel Ibis 🎩 🎭 ❤️🧙♀️ 🎹

We spent a week here on a family trip to London.
The location is very good, especially when you realise that the back door offers a shortcut through the car park making London Bridge underground station a very short walk away. Also in that direction is a great choice of restaurants around Borough Market, and the market itself. From the front door of the hotel it’s very easy to access the pathway along the south bank of the Thames, or to cross Southwark Bridge and walk to St Paul’s Cathedral, and the good bus routes that run in that area.
We had a twin room. It was immaculately clean, quirkily styled, and compact as you’d expect for a lower-priced central London hotel. We were nicely surprised to find a welcome plate in our room with lovely sweet treats. The housekeeping was excellent - towels replaced on request every day and the bathroom and bedroom cleaned and neatened up, and supplies replenished. Good blackout curtains. The only downside of the room (331) at the back of the hotel) is that it was noisy at night and in the early morning - many planes and helicopters overhead, recycling vehicles, staff from other businesses chatting noisily on breaks etc. Earplugs sorted that after the first night.
The team at the hotel were pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast wasn’t great, unfortunately. As advertised, it is continental breakfast only, which is what I would normally have. The cold meats, mackerel and cheese were good and the pastries always fresh. However, of the three coffee machines, only one was working all week, so there was often a long queue for hot drinks; juices were weak; the ‘fresh’ fruit salad was often watery and sometimes was tinned fruit salad; there was no granola, no muesli, only dry oats, no porridge; the toaster was a domestic model that took three turns to actually toast the bread. The breakfast room itself is dark and a bit cramped. Overall, breakfast was adequate, but not an enjoyable experience.
All in all, the hotel was perfect for our needs, but the breakfast was disappointing. I’m not sure if it’s possible to book room only at a lower price, but if so, I think that would be a good option, as there are so many nice coffee shops and brunch places close by.

We booked a lovely spacious meeting room at the Ibis for a training session with clients that took place on 23rd January 2020. The day rate was great value. Our clients absolutely loved every aspect of the day, and couldn’t believe how many delicious snacks were available, from breakfast, mid-morning snacks, a full buffet lunch + afternoon snacks! Our clients and our team were full of praise for how well they were looked after on the day. The very clear message conveyed by the Ibis team was that nothing was too much trouble.
And from my perspective as the event organiser, I'd like to thank Michelle Acosta, who was a delight to work with (answering my many questions!) and made the process extremely easy for me. This particular Ibis hotel is really lovely, and in a great location. We will be back, and I have already recommended the meeting facilities to other people.

Good location, 10 minutes leisurely walk to tube station. 7 minutes walk to the Tate Modern.
Lovely quirky hotel.
We had 2 suites and were allocated rooms across from one another so we could allow the older teens to have their own suite. They were surprisingly roomy for city accommodation with 2X separate bedrooms in each suite. And an amazing view of the Shard! Rooms were clean, very comfortable beds and quiet. Staff had left a platter of fruit and buns with a note wishing us a pleasant stay. Most importantly the rooms were not too warm which happens a lot in hotels and stops me from being able to sleep. Great shower too and not a rain shower which is so common now in hotels and I hate them as I don’t want to wash my hair every day!
Great breakfast- hard boiled eggs, fruit, pastries, cereals, cheese, ham, juices etc as well as free tea, hot chocolate and coffee all day.
Very pleasant staff who were very accommodating. When we arrived after a very early flight we were too early to check in but the staff took our bags and even allowed us to have breakfast which was a lovely touch, at no extra cost.
Big shout out to Kim Lee and Bina who printed out a boarding pass for us no problem and also facilitated a late checkout again at no extra cost- thanks so much!
No food served apart from breakfast but we were out all day anyway so this didn’t affect us. I believe they are planning on serving food in the future.
All in all a class hotel and we would love to return sometime.

We selected this Ibis Styles due to its central London location and because it was excellent value for a good standard London hotel.
We were really pleasantly surprised by the somewhat quirky theatrical design of the place which is really refreshing in a hotel with something to draw the eye in every corner.
But what really stood out were the staff from the welcoming receptionist on arrival through the breakfast team and different lady on reception as we departed. They were there to help and it was apparent they know and enjoy their roles.
Our room was so quiet we forgot we were minutes from London Bridge and apart from being spotlessly clean it was spacious with a very comfortable bed.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and catered for every taste so a perfect stay over that set us up for a day exploring the City.

Stayed here in July for two nights with friends, we had booked two rooms with breakfast. The hotel is in a very good location, a few minutes from the Borough Market and a few minutes walk from the nearest Tube. We attempted to check in an hour early but our rooms weren’t ready (check in 3pm) so we came back at 6pm allowing them a few hours more, this was met with more issues trying to check in as housekeeping hadn’t cleared the rooms off as being cleaned so we were delayed getting our keys again despite telling the staff we were in a rush as we had show tickets, despite booking together our rooms weren’t next to each-other and either side of the hotel. The rooms are okay, a little small but had all the amenities you need (including air conditioning). We did notice our shower and toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly and the desk in our room where the coffee machine was had numerous stains and cup marks, didn’t look the best. We booked via booking.com and I personally don’t think it’s well advertised that the breakfast included is continental, even for a continental breakfast the selection is minimal and not great. A few meats, cakes, cereals, cake and fruit. They did appear to have vegan food for those interested. We didn’t have much and opted for heading out for breakfast (some great places on borough market). The hotel have a WhatsApp you can message “24 hours a day” for a quick response. I sent a WhatsApp to the hotel support asking for a refund on breakfast as it wasn’t as advertised, wasn’t clear on booking.com and showed we had purchased elsewhere and didn’t intend to have breakfast on the Sunday as it was poor. It took three hours for staff to reply refusing any refund (they actually deleted the first reply so not sure what it said) they simply said they would not refund but would be happy to suggest elsewhere (even though we had paid for breakfast for 4 adults for 2 days!!). On checkout day the cleaners burst into our room at 9am despite do not disturb being on the door and reminded us checkout was 12pm, woke me and my friend up! Biggest selling point for this hotel is the location, rooms are ample and the breakfast poor. I probably wouldn’t stay again for that reason. The hotel cost us £518 for 2 rooms for 2 nights via booking.com with ‘breakfast’.

At ibis Styles, we strive to provide an excellent experience throughout to all of our guests, so we are obviously saddened to know we did not achieve that on this occasion. While we do try our best to offer an earlier check-in to our guests whenever possible, unfortunately, due to our hotel being fully booked at the time, we did not have rooms available before check-in time. We do, however, apologize for the 7-minute delay during your check-in when you came back at a later time. Our housekeeping team works tirelessly every day to ensure all of the rooms are ready in time, and we are sorry on this occasion we had a slightly longer waiting time than you would've hoped for. We are also sorry you were not completely satisfied with having the rooms on the same floor rather than next to each other. In the future, we would kindly suggest that requests such as this are made in advance so our team can do our best to fulfill it, although it will still be subject to room availability. We are also sorry you felt disappointed by the breakfast served, which was included in the rate. As pointed out by our team via WhatsApp, all booking platforms state we serve a continental breakfast only. We are sorry you felt this should have been advertised more clearly. As for offering a refund, it would not be possible because breakfast is complimentary when you book a room. We are sorry we could not reply to your query promptly enough. As I am sure you can appreciate, we operate a very busy reception at times, which unfortunately means we don`t always have the chance to tend to our messages as quickly as we would like. Thank you once again, Antony, for the valuable feedback, as it allows us to continuously improve the quality of our services. Please rest assured your feedback will be passed on to the relevant departments for consideration. Kind regards, Juliana Quaresma - Hotel Team Leader

Sorry, I have never seen three single beds in a room. This might be a question for the hotel directly. They are really helpful on the phone. Good luck
Parking behing the hotel for guests. Easy access to hotel via this entrance. Always plenty of parking when we were there. Well lit. No idea however about fees for cars in central London. Might want to check that out.
Hello kot1014,
Being honest with you the North American bed sizes are quite different from those in Europe but it would get closer to a queen size than a king one.
Hope this help and have a good trip if you intend to stay there !
Seb
