It is always a pleasure to stay here, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable with all the facilities we require. Whilst being very convenient for places like the British Museum and the west end it's only draw back is the lack of a lift. Although staff are always on hand should anyone need assistance...

Where do I start? On arrival I was told that my front facing room was affected by ongoing work (scaffolding), but as a good will gesture I get one free drink. I let this go and all was fine. When I got to the room I had no view at all and I had to find out in a letter...

We spent a weekend at this hotel celebrating a special birthday. Although the location was good, that's about the only thing good about this place. First of all, we could barely find the place as the whole front was covered in scaffolding. Secondly, when we get assigned a room, we find three builders in there, talking and smoking. We were...

I booked via the Internet and received a confirmation email very quickly. Really simple and straightforward However on arrival I found that I had been upgraded to the sister hotel across the room. Now this was code for either we are undergoing refurbishment or we've double booked - I couldn't be sure which. A simple email telling me that I...

I spent a long weekend at the Lancaster with my cousin, we arrived before allocated check in time and waited in the hotel lobby while the receptionist checked to see if our room was available, thankfully it was and she kindly checked us in early (7am flight from Dublin meant we were zombies and probably looked like we needed a...

The service and breakfast were wonderful. They were very helpful with directions and schedules. Breakfast options were huge and delicious. Our room was clean, small, and a hike to get to. But, we were in shape for the challenge!

Great location for exploring London. I stayed on business and the room was huge; lots of space and very clean. The hotel is a bit of a maze in terms of corridors and stairs but service was great and breakfast good so would definitely return.

This hotel was a real find and in a great location for the West End, SoHo and Covent Garden etc. I booked for two nights in a superior double as I wanted en-suite facilities (not all rooms have it). The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the bath/shower had plenty of hot water and power plus all the usual...

I stayed in a triple room with my two children. Booking - I made my reservation online but did not receive my confirmation email so called an hour later to enquire. Was advised that my booking had not gone through, despite the funds being held on my credit card. In the meantime the room had gone. Being that the reservation...

I've stayed at the Lancaster on many occasions over the years. It's the cheapest of the Grange set on Bedford Place, largely because the rickety Georgian house doesn't really permit ensuite bathrooms. So, shared toilets it is, with two for every three rooms or so. The in-room shower is a bit weird, but it does work well and you get...

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions.
