We stayed at the Laslett for the first time. It is right next to the notting Hill tube station so it is terribly convenient. The rooms are modern, with muted grey and beiges. It is beautifully designed. The rooms on the front of the hotel are bright. The suites have floor to ceiling windows. The breakfast is ample and you...

A great little boutique hotel in Notting Hill. Great staff, great location -- just steps to the Underground station at Notting Hill Gate and the Portobello market. It was quiet (huge for me). My room was tiny, but it was all I needed. The bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. The room had great temperature control, so I...

It's interesting when you stay in a hotel like this between other stays in hotels that are just OK. It comes down attention to detail and the small things that all come together to make a great experience. For example, out of the four hotels I stayed in on this trip (all major chains apart from this one) this one...

The Hotel is well located and beautiful from the outside and with a lovely lobby and bar area and with polite and welcoming staff. Our master double room was in the basement and smelt strongly of new carpet. I was not a fan of the rather dismal interior design and the incredibly poor lighting - without direct light over either...

This small and elegant hotel is located in the beautiful Notting Hill neighborhood, perfectly situated in a quiet street very close to the tube station"Notting Hill Gate". The staff was extremely welcoming, very friendly and helpful, we could not have picked a better place to stay in London for our 5-days trip. This is also an ideal hotel if you...

We stayed overnight on Saturday 18/2. We chose the location because we were going to an event in Portabello Road on the Sunday. The location is excellent being very close to Notting Hill Underground Station. The welcome upon arriving was again excellent with all staff being extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is set within a lovely Georgian building and...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized Neal's Yard bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
