I have stayed here a couple of times for business reasons. On the positive side it is a very centrally located hotel with decent value for money. As it is London, I suppose it is a fair price for a Hotel which is right next to Carnaby Street/Oxford Street. The rooms are clean, not really spacious but big enough to...

Stayed a night here for my birthday with my boyfriend and was extremely disappointed. It was a shambles from the moment we turned up. Was able to check in at 2pm, we arrived at 3.30pm to be told our room wasn't ready and they gave us a free drink at the bar (fair enough). After sitting in the bar for...

The view of Liberty's amazing building is about the only saving grace of this towel, so be sure to ask for a front high room. The bedroom had clean sheets but otherwise there was a layer of dust on all furnishings including the lights. The curtains were falling off and dirty with no curtains in the bathroom. The toiletries were...

Wanted a good Hotel near to Oxford Circus, Carnaby Street, Regent Street etc and this came up trumps. Room and Bathroom were very nice, clean but with a view onto scaffolding and an adjoining office block but it was only for sleeping in as there is so much to see and do around. Breakfast was very good too and was...

We stayed in this hotel as a last minute decision for a night out in London. We booked a classic double room. The hotel offers smoking or non-smoking rooms. When we arrived in the room there was actually a king size bed which was a lovely surprise. The rooms and lobby were all clean and welcoming. Staff were very helpful...

If you are only expecting a one star hotel, this is fine. But it offers itself as a five star, and charges accordingly. Don't stay there. I booked a "magistrate suit"e and only got one room. The staff were apologetic, but said that many people like me had complained about this, but management nonetheless continued to offer one room as...

The Courthouse Hotel is situated in a side road off Regent Street and diagonally opposite the department store Liberty's. It is perfectly located to explore the West End (Soho/Piccadilly) and not too far from Covent Garden. It is classed as a 5 star hotel and this is definitely reflected in the quality/quantity of furnishings in our room. But it was...

Having read lots of negative reviews only after booking a night at this hotel we were quite worried about what we'd find... We arrived late afternoon and planned on going out for a drink before our late dinner booked in the hotel's Silk restaurant. We had such a great time with friendly service, delicious cocktails and really great surroundings on...

With Oxford Street behind, Regent Street to the right and Carnaby Street directly in front giving access to Soho this hotel must be right up there for London locations. The hotel itself has its own unique piece of history - the bar still has the prison cells for you to sit in where Mick Jagger sat before going on trial....

One of the worst afternoon teas I have had, maybe its because we had a late one, even though it was the only appointment left. sandwiches were stale, fillings were not impressive Processed turkey, and tastless cream cheese. and the cakes were old , the scones were just like biscuits and stale awful awful .. tea was weak and warm....

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
