This hotel is so convenient for Kings Cross/St.Pancras & Euston stations, but is seriously due a complete refurbishment, including a lift! It is quite clean and we enjoyed a full English breakfast and free wi-fi.The small double bed was comfortable, but overall the decoration was very dated with poor quality bedroom furniture and everything crammed into a small room. The...

Only stayed here for 1 night with a friend while visiting the Comic Con at Excel. We chose the hotel for the cheap price and good location for travel. We were on the top floor. Room was extremely tiny. TV was on top of the built in wardrobe - extremely high up so difficult to watch! Was not bothered about...

Needed cheap (well for London) b&b for 1 night that was near Kings Cross and this fitted the bill for that. But that's all. Found the staff unfriendly. The single room had with en-suite that was in dire need of updating and small. Breakfast was pretty dismal as well. Would not want to have stayed there any longer

Saw previous reviews and decided to try it out simply due to the convenient location - mistake! Only good thing I could say is that it was mainly clean and breakfast was ok'sh. Other than that it needs a major revamp, old carpets, old furniture, bathroom was small in the extreme and OMG the stair up to the second floor...

I think the photos cover it. The room was in a dire state, it was falling apart. Thank goodness we literally just used the room to sleep, otherwise I would have been finding elsewhere to go. Holes in the floor and walls, the plug socket was coming out of the wall, and only one side was working. Used make up...

The location is excellent, but the hotel is barely up to backpacker hostel standards. Tiny room (double) with no space to unpack or store a suitcase except on the floor blocking the door. Ridiculously tiny bathroom with no bathmat or toilet roll holder -- paper is put on top of a cistern very high on the wall. No toiletries and...

My husband and I stayed at the Belgrove for two nights. the hotel is small and dated but that is reflected in the rate charged, expensive for other cities but reasonable for London. The room had a view of another building that looked like squatters might have made a home there or it was the scene of an Alfred Hitchcock movie...not...

The best thing about this hotel is the excellent location. To be honest for the price we paid, 250 pounds for a quadruple room for 2 nights, plus a cooked breakfast it was, I suppose, value for money. The room itself was very small and the en-suite was tiny but served its purpose. There wasn't a great deal of room...

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's in a great spot but that's where it ends. We checked into this hotel and was mortified when we saw the size of the bed in our room. It was described as a double bed but it was more like a large single. We are not small people ( clothes...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
