I did the booking for this accommodation by Booking.pt and the reviews were not bad at all, but after I saw the comments here in tripadvisor, I started to be REALLY afraid of the place (I already knew that London doesn't have good and clean places only if you want to spend a fortune, I'm comparing with accommodations in Portugal,...

The hotel was clean and the reception lady was friendly, and its a very good location, very short walk to the main street and good for trnasport links................however the room was very small, the bed's mattress was far too soft, and the pillows were flat, and when I asked for another pillow I was advised they had none to spare,...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I booked two triple rooms for one night, one in the basement and one on the ground floor, one for my sister, her partner and my 9year old nephew and one for myself and 13year old nephew. After a restless nights sleep, we met up the next morning and my sister said they had...

Very handy for travelling to the city centre. Helpful staff. A little bit loud for the tube. Quite cheap. Rooms cleaned and comfortable. A little bit late for the check-in time. Earl's court is a very nice area for staying.

Went to check in after a theatre visit so late on around 11.30pm. First impressions poor as the front door area was in very poor condition having obviously forced open on occasions. Met by a girl who was clearly trying her best but could not get credit card machine to work so requested we walked to a sister hotel some...

We came to London to visit the Royal Albert Hall, and so wanted a fairly cheap place stay nearby. This hotel was perfect for that - somewhere to leave our bags, and a comfy bed to sleep in. It was quite a small room, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was pretty new, with an excellent shower. You could...

I never complain about hotels and have stayed in some rather not great budget hotel but this was too awful not to review. First off, no wifi beyond the first floor, very inconvenient as I needed to check into my flight, get directions, etc. Second, terrible sewage smell coming from bathroom. Closed the door to keep it out of room...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
