The only time staff spoke to us was to say NO... The "Superior" double was so small and dinghy you could barely get around the bed. The welcoming moment - 15 mins before official check-in .... "Have you paid the £25 to check in early?" - what!!! We should have left then Not good enough - we won't go back...stay...

The "hotel" is actually an apartment in an apartment building- which really confused me. When I booked the room, I wrote down the address and phone number a few months before our vacation. I had even called and spoke with the manager (Roberta) the day before we arrived to ensure everything was go. We arrived late at night. Check out...

i booked the room in this hotel because of location, i needed Belgravia for business purpose..virtually the location, room and price were ok, but what i got in the end not satisfied me..actually this motel looks more like private rooms for people the host knows...i was absolutely from nowhere (from Manchester with foreign accent :) when i arrived there i...

I have stayed at Ormonde House on numerous occasions. It is a unique establishment in one of the most solubrious areas of London. All of the bedrooms I have stayed in have been large and the pubilc areas are ornately furnished. At breakfast one dines at a large dinner table in an elegant dining room and a waiter/ress serves you....

It may be that I'm more of a hotel than a B&B fan, but I unfortunately won't be returning any time soon. There were some aspects that may be down to personal prefence, but I really like to keep myself to myself when I'm staying at a hotel. Instead, on return on my first evening, I was asked why I'd...

Where do I start? My son booked a surprise short vacation to London for me and did all the arrangements himself. He booked us in at the Ormonde House Hotel for three nights. My son printed out directions from where our coach dropped us of etc. We arrived in London at 2:15 and according to ur directions would be at...

I wish I could reccommend this hotel, but I just can't, and it is a shame. The public areas and lift are lovely, I thought I may have found a gem at £125/night, and the proximity to Sloane Square is a big plus. Indeed I was quite excited in the lift that I may have found a new regular place...

I stayed at the Ormonde with a friend as we were attending a party in central London. It was competitively priced and I wanted to stay in an independent hotel rather than a faceless chain. The hotel is a beautiful building just off Sloane Square in Belgravia and has been lovingly dedicated to the 1920's, with chandeliers and beautiful furniture....

I was looking for a moderately-priced hotel a few months ago for my family to stay in when they came for a week to visit me in July. This is a great booking- 2 rooms at 7 nights each- any hotel would want this. I was still living in Battersea at this time so I wanted to find a place...

Our room (9) was filthy, tiny and filled with tacky cheap furniture. A dirty handkerchief was found down the back of the bed and the bed drape board was covered in tin foil. Bathroom disgusting - the shower curtain filthy and stained -and just about every fitting was either faulty, broken or worn out. The 'sliding' door to the bathroom...

Staying in Belgravia

Neighbourhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
