Bar was nice, pretty cheap drinks and a lot of fun. Everything else sucked balls. When we arrived in our room the floor was still wet and we found some underwear under the bed that wasn't ours. There were only 4 toilets on our floor, 3 of them didn't lock and were flooding with crap. Showers were okay, but we... More

I stayed with my bestfriend in this property for a couple of nights in London. We booked the 2 pax room with shared bathroom. It was my first time to stay in a hostel, and thankfully, the experience was not as bad as I expected. Three things that made the experience good: 1.) there was a room to leave your... More

Hi GraciedeGracia, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Unfortunately sometimes there are people who will make some noise walking back to their rooms, whenever we see this happen we ask to try to keep the noise down but unfortunately it is not always possible. We have just installed a new Generator sign outside so hopefully we... More

The property, overall service, location and design are very nice and inviting. I enjoy Generator Hostels, and would like to give the London hostel full marks, but I can't as I was asked to leave at 2am because the manager thought I 'may have been smoking weed'. It was a very disappointing conclusion to my stay, I wish the manager... More

Hi RobGrz, Yes guests participating in illegal activities are immediately removed from the premises. We did have a situation where this has happened in front of one of our managers and all parties were asked to leave. If you would like to discuss this further with us we invite you to contact us directly. Best wishes, Generator London. More

Cool place. Very clean. Got to meet lots of people. Awesome chill out room. Having a pub at the hostel saves the trouble of having to go out at night looking for a pub. The room was ensuite so it felt like staying at a hotel

Yes, it's a Hostel, I am aware of that - but I have slept better on a LARP in a tent than at that Hostel. First of all, you can only check in after 14 o'clock - before that, you have to pay, like, a lot, to just park your suitcase there and check out the city. The reception staff... More

£65 for a dorm bed (6 beds with en suite). Not cheap. A very reasonable quality of room and shower though, for a short stay in London. It's a better quality design than many hostels (nicer looking, and perfectly clean), but my Generator experience was a bit depressing as a solo traveller, looking to connect with like minded people. Applause... More

Generator was kept in a very good condition and the cleaning staff would clean rooms, bathrooms everyday. Bar was in good condition and the beds were comfortable enough in exchange for the price. Everything fine.

The hostel was so nice. The dormitory was great for sharing, but the heater was too hot on the night I was there. Toilets & showers were clean but probably not enough for sharing as there was only one toilet and two showers for 8 people or more. Great choice of music & warm ambience at the lobby. Near food...
