This is the worst place I've ever stayed in. We were in flat B in the basement, it smelled stale, fridge really ponged, wallpaper was ripped, the curtains didn't fit, the floorboards above were really creaky and the mattress on the right made a noise with every movement. Luckily enough we were only there one night, couldn't wait to leave...

Upon on arrival we were told we were staying at a different property from the one we had booked. After climbing up 3 flights of stairs, then a further narrow staircase into the attic, we discovered it was not clean or ready for us, despite being after check in time. In the 10 mins we spent there, it was clear...

I stayed a couple of nights in April 2016. My apartment (a single room) was the very first one as you walk into the building. The room was very clean with clean sheets and towels. There was a small fridge, a microwave and kettle with a basket of teabags, coffee, sugar etc. Bathroom was very clean and everything worked. I...

Excited to visit London with my family first time. Went through booking.com. Found this centrally located, nice looking apartment with good ambience. I believe pictures speak a thousand words on the website. We booked a two bedroom apartment with no frills. Arrived mid-afternoon to be told room not ready. Anyway we went for a walk round Earls Court. It was...

Starting with the good points, it is centrally located with very close proximity to Earl’s court station. Now be prepared for a detour. We regretted booking this having not believed the runs of negative review. We needed a centrally located apartment for our sightseeing tour. To start, we booked a 2 bedroom apartment advertised to fit a family of 4...

Booked a one bed apartment as daughter was with us. Stated a seating area so we assumed a sofa bed but it turned out to be a single bed in the lounge we think they had moved in for the 2 nights we were there. This meant no where to sit if we wanted to watch a bit of TV...

The entrance hall was very nice. Although the whole place smelt musky! We were told that the price we'd payed in advance was not enough and they could not accommodate us for the room we had booked. The staff were both very polite but the rooms we were shown both had badly stained bed bases on show. There were unclean...

I spent four days in this facility this past April. The location was very good, the price was right and the studio had all the right appliances. The area is convenient to both Earls Court and Gloucester Road tube stations and groceries are just around the corner from each station. The area is quiet, for london, and there are numerous...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
