My room was in the Balkan hotel, across the road from the Euro-hotel central reception, and it was very good. new furnishings, very clean, excellent internet, big fridge. I paid less than £45 a night and based on my extensive London experience I never expected such a good room! Two big thumbs up.

I was happy with my room. It was clean, tidy and adequately equipped. The WiFi worked just fine. I slept well: no problems with noise or temperature. Breakfast was rather like a transport cafe but I ate well and it set me up for the day. I would stay there again.

Very pleasant stay, the room was clean. The best point were the quiet night´s; I got a good night sleep there! The hotel is central and next to the stations, underground, shopping centres and easy to get to the sites. Management were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again!

Stayed 1st December 2015 - bed uncomfortable; en-suite far too small and disgusting with holes in the tiling, cracks and ingrained dirt around the shower; breakfast room filthy and smelly - continental breakfast inadequate in choice and quality. Bedside light not working - impossible to close doors quietly so awoken by others entering adjacent rooms. Quite the worst I've stayed... More

This is not a Hotel. It is a very poor standard student guest house. 5 night stay in London. Trying to do it on a budget but 40 sterling per night/ nearly 60 euro, in Dublin where I'm from, you would get a hotel for. 1st night damp room - leaking radiator into carpet so carpet had a rotting smell.... The room had recently been redecorated - but only half of it - wallpaper was missing from one end of the room. Our 'triple' room had a small double and a single bed with small gap between them, just big enough for a bedside table. The bathroom was also recently done, but the shower was showing signs of poor cleaning... More

Quite central, good to reach from anywhere. Nice staff. Some don't speak much English, but still very helpful. We would probalby stay there again.

Owner was helpful, got a room on second floor, with tv and fridge, coffee and tea. The mattress had springs, but we slept well, radiator in the room was good, TV was all right, free wifi was faster than I expected, toilet door needs paint, shower was either very hot or very cold, never in between, but at least the... Location is good. On the same street there is London's best fish and chips place. Stayed 4 nights with family 2 adults + 2 children. Room was on ground floor to the street. Beds were good and big, bathroom was also big. Windows or walls were quite thin, so could hear the outside noise, but as were quite tired, it... More

Unfriendly staff. Room was tiny but very handy for seeing a band at Hammersmith Apollo. Breakfast was eggs and beans. There a better hotels in the area for the same price than this. Not enough room for 2 people to walk in room together. I would not stay here again
