Went to stay in this hotel the night before my interview. Had booked it on bookings.com and reviewed on the website but for some reason it's hasn't been posted, therefore I'm going to review on TripAdvisor as I can't review anymore after some time and this hotel has left such a bad impression on me. On arrival I waited almost...

Arrived at hotel with my husband was invited to come back at 2pm for check in. Left our cases in an unlocked area in the reception, which wasn't ideal. Our room was small which we expected for London but it was very dirty. Bad finishing and poorly looked after. Very noisy from other rooms could hear others brushing their teeth....

Picked this place for its location and reasonable price. It is very close to King's Cross / St. Pancras but in a reasonably quiet street. Unspectacular and no breakfast facility but clean rooms, pleasant reception staff and comfortable. Would use it again

Room was incredibly small for a double and the bathroom was very grubby. Beds really comfy and whilst there is no air con (listed building regs) they provide you with a fan. Warning to all you ladies with longer hair, you have to ask for a hairdryer at reception or be prepared to face the world with wet hair. There...

Couldn't get a room in my usual Premier inn at Kings cross so found a room at the Melville. Very handy and in sight of Kings Cross station so good for travellers. Room was in the basement and accessed by a narrow flight of stairs. Not the best room in the hotel I'm sure. Basically all the "Hotel" offers for...

I stayed for one night and chose this hotel as I needed somewhere near King's Cross. The staff were friendly and helpful (with directions and printing a boarding pass). The square that the hotel is located on is quiet and well away from the bust main road near King's Cross. The bed was comfortable, although I'm not sure if it...

We arrived at reception and were told that we couldn't have our room key unless we paid the hotel directly as Booking.com had not passed the money to them. We had paid fully for the room 2 months earlier. We had no choice but to pay even though we had proof that our payment had gone through. This ruined our...

The hotel is very convenient for access to King's Cross and St Pancras. Our room however was not totally clean and our door was left cracked open by the cleaning staff. After letting the staff know this, our room was simply not cleaned, which I preferred anyway. I chose this area as a base for our London visit because of...

Hotel Melville is only a few minutes walk from King's Cross and St Pancras stations. Really convenient location for exploring the rest of London. My friend and I stayed for 1 night. The room was small but all we needed for the time we actually spent in the hotel. The bed was really comfy! Even though we were overlooking the...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
