Hotel is very nice, with a good looking lobby and really attentive staff. Check in was smooth and easy. Room was small but well appointed. Great location near to Tower underground, Fenchurch station and DLR. Really easy place to stay if doing business in the City or out at Canary Wharf. Few little quirks that keep the hotel from an...

Had another one night stay here recently. Deluxe room with balcony. A most pleasant stay. Customer service was outstanding as always. The Apex Group has become our first choice whilst searching for a London break, finances permitting.

We stayed at this hotel in April 2013. The hotel is right beside the tower underground and is really easy to get to from paddington. Good position for Tower of London and the tube will take you everywhere! The hotel is clean, complimentary news papers and a lovely breakfast.

Given the cost of hotels in London this was quite reasonable. The rooms were moderately large, modern and very comfortable. Nice size bathroom with excellent shower (something not to take for granted in the UK). Staff were also very nice and helpful. Overall, a good choice and I have stayed in many places in London. Hotel is convenient to the...

Besides the great location (within ten minutes of Bank and Tower Bridge), the top-floor suite offers an amazing view and great comfort. We had the occasion to have breakfast on the terrace which was fantastic. Highly recommended! The service is top-notch. The staff is very responsive to queries and makes every effort to ensure you have a great stay. In...

Stayed here for one night in November 2012, in a standard room. My friend (an Apex employee) and myself were sharing a room and had requested a twin. After checking in we found our room was set up as a double and were assured this would be fixed after we got back from our plans in the afternoon. However when...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
