Given the price, my expectations hadn't been very high, but actually it wasn't too bad. Room was pretty dreary and bed not the most comfortable, but it was OK - clean and it was just somewhere to rest my head at the end of the day. Shared bathroom down the hall might put some off, but again clean and perfectly...

I payed more (80£ vs 64£) and stayed in the Postgraduate Middleton Wing which has nicerrecently refurbished rooms as compared to the undergraduate wing with older rooms. Whichever wing you all choose, do request for a courtyard facing room on a higher floor as they are quieter. Good breakfast spread. Just outside and to the left as you exit Rosebery...

The only positive comments to this residence are about the staff - very friendly and ready to help in the reception, the breakfast, which is well served, and the reasonable location, nearby Angel. But, there are several negative points that make this residence too expensive for the price, including: - bedroom was really tiny, matresses were not comfotable, very used...

I was on a course in the area and for economies sake, I stayed at the London School of Economics student accommodation on Roseberry Avenue. The staff were very helpful and friendly, looking up information online to help myself and a colleague, when we had slight emergencies. The room was clean, basic but perfectly suitable, and although the toilets and...

This accom is clean with friendly staff and a great variety for breakfast. They have a computer room, laundrette, pool table and table tennis table. The staff are helpful if you have any questions. Only downside was our room faced a busy street so when it got a bit hot and you had to leave the window open, it was...

Stayed for one night, I have stayed in student accommodation before so I knew what to expect but for £50 with cooked breakfast its OK but if they want more than £70 might be looking at some of the better tourists hotels in Earls Court or Paddington of Bayswater that offer En-suite , TV and a more homely feel.

The main reason I chose this accommodation was the excellent location. It's a short walk to the Angel tube station (one stop from Kings Cross). My room was basic with a single bed, desk and basin - shared bathroom facilities were a short walk along the corridor. A cafeteria style cooked breakfast was included. It was a little noisy at...

Short walk from angel station. Reception was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Shared toilets/showers weren't the greatest idea. We hadn't expected them to be unisex. Shower doors were short, so not as private as they could be. Maybe it's an age thing, but we thought it was a little odd, even for students. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice...

Great central location, approx 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross, 5 minutes to Angel tube station. Breakfast very good and included in price. Some of the rooms (the 2 person in particular) are a bit small, so maybe not so good for longer stays - but excellent value for 2-3 night stay.

Great stay for price! Not to far from the underground or the city. In a student area which is fun. Comfortable and no complaints. I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend if you are traveling to London. :)

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
