I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Park Plaza London Riverbank whilst completing the London Marathon. I was staying with my wife and two children and we had a fantastic stay. The hotel is nicely equipped (the children loved the pool) and in a fantastic location. I have to give a special mention to Rhodric Allen who provided the best customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel stay. In order to assist me with my marthon preparation/recovery, we were provided with a wonderful upgrade to a suite with cooking facilities and river view. Arriving in the suite we were greeted with a 'supply pack' of energy drinks and gels to help me during the race, as well as a lovely card wishing me well. Fantastic, a really enjoyable hotel break that made the occasion even more special. …
Our 1st stay there. Despite of some small shortages – I would not reduce 20% of points in the 5-stage scale thus happy to give 5. Ready to stay there again. Location: a good location with a view and ca 10min walk to Westminster. Vauxhall Underground station is ca 5min walk (NB! Google maps gives bus no.77 the most comfortable way to reach the hotel but Underground is more comfortable according to my opinion). Some small shops nearby and also The Rose Pub that I really recommend. Personnel: professional and friendly. Obviously after C19 it takes a bit time to organize the working processes with the new stuff to the highest level. For example I asked an extra blanket and heater from the reception. The reception lady finally found a piece of paper to write it down but after 2 hours there was nothing so I called from the room. Then we got the heater but no blanket. Finally we got the blanket also. Also there was a kind of confusion with heating. We had 2 rooms and it worked in 1 room only. The FM-guy told the summer season started and it should not work there neither. In the lobby we were told that heating should work. Anyway – we got a heater and it helped. Breakfast: on the 1st floor (and also on the 12th floor’s executive lounge with a great view. I do not know why we were offered one breakfast there but we are grateful for that). Good selection, very tasty. Specially I would like to mention about bacon – it was tasty and juicy, not overcooked like in many cases. Also fruits were very tasty (so juicy and sweet plums were a real surprise!). Also a coffee was very good! Room: big (incl for morning exercises), clean, comfortable (incl for office work). Free&fast internet. Night-curtains (with remote closing-opening). A fridge for beverages. Bathroom: big, clean, well equipped. A basin’s sidetable – there was even more free place after my wife unpacked her cosmetics. A bath. Shower enclosure with a thermostatic mixer and surprisingly strong water pressure. Just a toilet brush was missing. Sleep: one of the most comfotable beds and pillows I have ever had in hotels. Specially I would like to say good about the pillow. Spa: a swimming pool with some sunbeds, steam sauna, Finnish sauna. Lockers for your belongings. One evening Finnish sauna was ca 90C, then next evening for some reason just 50-60C (seemed to be turned off but actually it was just at ca 19.00). Towels and drinking water available. Gym: a well-equipped hotel-gym. Some gym mats would be good to have also (probably removed due to C19). Drinking water and lockers available.…
Cannot praise this hotel more the location for all the central London sights is great it’s riverside views across to Westminster wonderful. We had river view rooms which were excellent and the staff!! From front of house to bar restaurant what can I say were brilliant couldn’t be more helpful. The food and service in the on-site Asian fusion restaurant is very good and well worth a visit. All in all great value for money and well worth a visit whether leisure or business trip.👍😊
What an amazing place! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, from the door staff to room service, highly recommended. They made my weekend in London! The food was well presented and beautiful to the taste.
Eight-day stay on long overdue couple's vacation. Concierge alone is reason to book: Bradley is professional and top caliber, and Hussein was always friendly and willing to assist. Huge concern is the hotel's "free WiFi" which has no password protection for guests. That's a deal breaker in 2015 much less now in 2022. Mandatory need, no excuses. Otherwise, a wonderful hotel and comfortable bed, near Vauxhall station and the superb and underrated Windmill Pub nearby.
There was something in the air of my room. It caused a haze/fog. I was unable to breathe without coughing. I sat in the hall for 1.5 hours to help me after multiple statements of sending someone up, and that’s because I went to the front desk in PJs. They never took what happened seriously. They tried to fix it but it felt like a brush off. It had beautiful views but I wouldn’t stay or recommend.
This hotel is extremely insensitive to guests. They just don’t care about house guests. Today evening (like most evenings) they closed the restaurant/bar for house guests because of a corporate networking session. We were asked to go to the 12th floor executive lounge instead. We ordered our first drink and we were given the food menu. When we ordered starters they refused to take the order and asked us to go to the ground floor restaurant since the corporate session had ended. All within 30 minutes. Isn’t this ridiculous?!!
A wonderful experience and all the staff were superior. AJ our Manager went out of his way to personalize the service that we received. Very Professional and a pleasure got meet. Our room was upgraded and was terrific.
Very nice hotel for a birthday stay. Any criticism is in good faith given the nightly rate for a high class hotel in London. A/C was intermittent, bathroom door didn’t close and the lifts require a bit of a wait (insufficient capacity to match the number of rooms - if you’re in a hurry). All first world problems, otherwise a very nice hotel, conveniently located for all the tourist spots and restaurants south of the river.
Nice hotel that's looking slightly tired in terms of furniture and furnishings, but clean and comfortable. Well situated for Parliament and The South Bank, but at least ten minute walk to nearest tube station. Good restaurant.
