Outstanding quality and a very relaxing experience. My wife and I absolutely loved it, we were very pleased with the service, and the beautiful listed room. The hotel is located in a great location and the Georgian buildings are breathtaking. Would recommend staying here or having the afternoon tea.

We were in a standard room for two nights. The bathroom was spacious and apart from only one shower gel and shampoo for two people was otherwise we'll appointed. The bedroom however was minute with just enough room for a large double bed and a small two-seater sofa. One if the bedside lights didn't work. There was nowhere to sit...

The hotel is perfectly placed to see central London site seeing or shopping the tube is seconds away should you wish to go further. Beware the main bar is open to the public and residents do not have any segregated area a bit disappointing when your paying for a bit of class and any idiot can walk in.... leaving a...

Beautiful and elegantly styled old England as it should be. Recently renovated to a tasteful and high standard. Will not disappoint the tourist looking for a taste of old England or the Englishman looking for how things should be done.

We had the pleasure to stay at the Café Royal for the weekend. First of all, the location is superb, just across the street you'll find yourself in the middle of the Picadilly Circus with great connection to the tube! The Hotel was very easy to find. As we had contact with the Concierge prior to our stay, we've been...

We were treated to vouchers for afternoon tea at the Hotel Cafe Royal for Christmas. What a great present it turned out to be. The service is exceptional, the food is plentiful and delicious, the Oscar Wilde bar is beautiful and the choice of tea blends is wide. The goats cheese amuse bouche and the coronation chicken sandwich were the...

Highly recommended location for afternoon tea. Join them at the Grill café and enjoy a relaxing experience after shopping around Regent Street. Good selection of teas, service is courteous and the cakes are absolutely delicious. They offer a service to take away anything you have not managed to finish.

This is really luxurious experience, so I hope you will have time to enjoy the small but effective gym, the nice pool area or even enjoy the spa facilities. Service is impeccable and the rooms are very large. Lots of space and height. Amenities are very good indeed and the interior design is exquisite. The only drawback is that there...

I along with my daughters and close friend and her daughters had a lovely traditional afternoon tea on Sunday 29th January 2017. The food was lovely and service excellent. Our waitress inadvertently spilt the champagne, and the staff moved swiftly to clean up the mess and quickly replenished her drink. We spent a lovely couple of hours whiling away Sunday...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Combining architectural heritage with contemporary design, Cafe Royal has been reincarnated as a luxury hotel in the heart of London's West End with the elegance of Mayfair to the west and the creativity of Soho to the east. Grand historic areas have been sensitively restored while 160 guestrooms, including 49 suites and six signature suites have been created in a contemporary yet refined style. Our guestrooms start from approximately 35sqm/377sqft to 212sqm/2,281sqft with every room presenting itself as a suite. Continuing its celebrated legacy, Hotel Cafe Royal offers a selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy. At the heart of the hotel, the Ten Room offers British informal dining all-day, while the Green Bar is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a cocktail. Restored to revive the ornate Louis XVI decor and detailing, the iconic Oscar Wilde Bar (formerly the legendary Grill Room, originally established in 1865), is now the place to enjoy Champagne, cocktails and a light menu of British dishes and live entertainment on select evenings. The Cafe, on Regent Street, revives the European tradition of cafe culture. To complete the experience, the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is an urban retreat in the centre of the capital spanning over 1,200sqm/13,000sqft featuring a large lap pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room and offering a range of signature treatments. Reflecting a core vision to harmoniously unite the four natural elements of nature, Akasha features four corresponding spaces; lounge/earth, spa/water, gym/fire, yoga/air. ... more   less
