This place is very very suitable for Indians , very nice food and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. Cost is very affordable and its easy to reach there as well. Its very near to metro station. Most important for students is the cost...More
Called in the evening to eat an authentic Indian buffet at a very reasonable price for London. The food was expertly prepared by fabulous chefs. Quite an experience in itself . We ate outside in the courtyard and enjoyed second helpings.
Stayed numerous times over last 13+years, consistently good value. This is primarily a dorm for Indian students in London, so expect rooms, food service, bathrooms, to match dorm standards, NOT a hotel. That said, it is a cheerful, friendly place and Indians will feel particularly...More
If budget is the main issue, this is the best option specially for Indians.
The location is unparalleled - within 300 mtrs from Waren Street underground station.
Breakfast and diner is included in room tariff. Menu is totally Indian. Good variations in menu.
This review is purely for the restaurant element - went there with 6 mates for January's curry club session. Cannot believe the quality of the meat and cooking for the price. It was about £8 - for as much as you can eat!!! No alcohol...More
This sophisticated and sociable slice of Central London is a shopper’s paradise, offering the latest fashions, gadgets, and souvenirs. Fitzrovia is conveniently located between the major retail thoroughfares of Regent Street to the west and Tottenham Court Road to the east, with a handful of well connected Tube stations dotted around the area for easy transport. This neighbourhood is a favorite
among foodies as well, with an impressive number of quality restaurants, pubs, cafes and food shops vying for your patronage – especially along Charlotte Street and near Goodge Street Station.

Hi, The room in which we stayed had moulds in the corners of the shower cabin and soap holder. You would also need to tell the house keeping people to change your towels and only then they will do it. Also there is dust in the vents of the bathroom. Having said this, you may register a complaint with the reception and they may be able to help. In my case the light suddenly went off and they got it checked and got it back again.
My stay was only for 5 days, however I did notice a lot of students staying here and would believe they were staying for long.
Hope this helps.

The menu has a spread of Indian recipes including Breakfast ,Lunch and Dinner with vegetarian including rice, plain or vegetable rice, salads, pulses, pickles, Indian bread and desert. There is a non veg dish also with lunch and dinner (with curry ). Given for the price that is there in YMCA , it is a suitable, simple and healthy food menu.
