Good value for money, nice staff and a cool interior. For being a London hotel it is not typical in a positive way. The way the staff handled the misshap with fire alarm our first night is excellent. Would recommend everyone to stay at the Hox.

Myself and my partner had an excellent stay here and would definatly go back! A few things to look out for, the rooms are rather small however this is not a problem just something to note. The bed is very comfortable also which was a plus as this is rare to find in budget hotels! The bar does get very...

I stayed at the Hoxton with great expectations. It was apparently a really cool hotel and the place to stay in Shoreditch. I was a little disappointed to be frank. Although the bar and restaurant are cool and pretty lively and the service is good the rooms let it down. They are very box like and just a little illequipped...

We recently stayed at the Hoxton for two nights. What a refreshing break from the dreary and predictable decor of all the well known brands. The service was friendly and efficient and the room was excellent value. The breakfast plan also works like a charm!

Stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and quiet and the location of the hotel is not too bad as it is a short walk away from old street tube station (which can be quite dodgy at night). The bar downstairs is usually busy. My gripe is that the breakfast sucks (unless you are very healty conscious and love...

Such a cool place! Great bar (cocktails to die for!), great food (American grill style feel but with some super yummy and healthy salad and fish dishes), great rooms (comfy bed, very light, amazing bathroom) and great staff (I had to ask for coat-hangers, plasters, printing and a cheese knife; all provided quickly and cheerfully), great area! (Shoreditch rocks!!) My...

We had read about the Hoxton's reputation for quality and price as well as it's £1 deals (which I've never been able to get!) and booking in advance got a good deal we booked it for my Birthday weekend. We found it easily from the tube station, our first impression was not super as you enter via the bar and...

Have stayed here when in London on business. Great hotel with a quirky feel to the rooms, like the paper, scissors, stone cushions on the bed. The rooms are a good enough size for 1 person, with a comfortable double bed, room to move about, a desk to work at and FREE WIFI! Reasonable sized bathroom with a good shower...

We spent a week here. The Hoxton has an attitude of really wanting to do the right thing for its customers, while being amusing, and without charging them a lot for it. It does have some possible downsides, but if they are not a problem for you, this is a great choice. We liked: helpful, friendly, staff free wifi free...

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
