I stayed at Travelodge Snaresbrook for one night only. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room and was also impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of Dee, the receptionist. She was informative and helpful. She made my stay all the more pleasant. As an ex-Hilton employee, I was impressed with her helpfulness and she was so personable, ensuring my stay was a delight. I would definitely book in to this establishment again ☺️
Very good visit at this Travelodge, it’s a smaller site but the rooms are very spacious and have all you need or you can ask for at the front desk. There’s free parking and it’s right next door to a Toby Carvery or there’s other shops/cafe about 5 minute walk away. Travelodge has followed guidelines in regards to covid with screens up at reception, wearing face masks and have reminder stickers in room about keeping yourself and others safe. There’s no air con, but there was a fan which was good enough to keep the room cool throughout the night. The only downside was the bed and pillows didn’t suit us, we found the pillows to be quite hard but everything else was great.
We've stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past, but in recent years have found it too expensive. However, we were able to take advantage of an online deal recently and as a result, got 2 nights for a very reasonable price. Having stayed here this time around though I suspect the price was low for a reason. This hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. The entrance hallway is clean and tidy enough, but on walking to our 1st floor room we quickly noticed the carpets were badly faded all the way along the corridor, particularly along the edges near the skirting boards. It looked as if some kind of treatment had been applied at some point (for carpet bugs or fleas perhaps?) which had caused the fading to occur. The same fading was evident in our room in the same spots along the edges of the room, along with stains on the curtains; surface damage to the wall heater's front panel; a shower room floor that appeared to be very dirty; rust around one of the handrails in the shower; a lot of limescale build-up on the shower fittings; and a toilet handle that looked broken, but had actually been fitted incorrectly (which made flushing it a bit tricky at times). In addition, our room was situated right next to the back door of the neighbouring Toby Carvery, meaning we were kept awake by the staff coming in and out for their cigarette breaks or to put rubbish in the bins. This went on most nights until at least 11pm. On a more positive note, the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful and the hotel is a simple 5 minute walk from the tube station which is on the Central Line. We travelled to the Westfield at Stratford every evening to get something to eat, as there didn't appear to be much else on offer closer to the hotel other than the Toby Carvery next door. Also, the bed was very comfy which is something we've experienced in all the Travelodges we've stayed in to date. Based on previous visits, this hotel has real potential. However, we won't be tempted to stay here again unless Travelodge see fit to refurbish it in the same way they have their other sites across the UK. It seems strange to me that they wouldn't refurbish this particular hotel, especially given its location and potential to attract tourists visiting the capital who may not want (or can't afford) to stay in Central London.…
Stains on the carpet floor, toilet disgusting, shower drain blocked. Curtains filthy, only 1 towel for both of us. Bed had stains on the mattress protector. We are still here. After i complained they still did not clean the carpet. I regret having booked here. Ill get an air bnb anyday even if its further away. It was only the location that appealed for family reasons. Was not looking for 5 star but cleanliness is basic.I feel dirty staying here Go somewhere else !
We booked 3 rooms here to stay in after a family party. Good value budget hotel with everything you need in the room or on request from the reception. Tea and coffee making facilities, shower/hair gel in bathroom, piping hot shower and fluffy white towels. Extra drinks available in reception. And staff very helpful. Didnt have the breakfast pack, as a Toby restaurant is next door which most staying in the hotel used. Good value for London and close to lots of facilities and visited attractions. Will use this location again.
