Service friendly and polite. Room carpet could do with a good clean or replacing and there were no towels otherwise it was fine. Location just right for me. Liked best good value, liked least noise of underground but that of course not fault of hotel.

Firstly, let me start by saying I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for! £54 for a room incorporating breakfast in the centre of London seemed a reasonable price although previously I've paid less, been more than happy and had no complaints. Anyhow, room rate aside, upon arrival to hell ( the aquarius hotel) we were greeted by...

I stayed here in 2011 and again in 2014. Though a lot of what you will read in the reviews is true, I picked this hotel because for the price you pay (~53 pounds for a single room) it is a great location. The breakfast is basic, the room is cleaned once a day, the shower had hot water.. theres...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
