I stayed here in 2011 and again in 2014. Though a lot of what you will read in the reviews is true, I picked this hotel because for the price you pay (~53 pounds for a single room) it is a great location. The breakfast is basic, the room is cleaned once a day, the shower had hot water.. theres...

for £65 for a double bed, it was not worth it. The hotel is run down and needs a lot of TLC. Old décor, would not be surprised it the place had mice. Its situated next to the station so sleeping quality was not good.

This is by far the worst hotel I have EVER seen. Genuinely gob smacked at the disgusting bedrooms and lack of service. There is no security at all. No questions. No forms to fill in. Cash on arrival. It's terrifying to think who could be in the other rooms while you sleep. Our room was SO close to Earls Court...

1. No breakfast, as I had booked for bed and breakfast, which i expected continental or full breakfast was provided, but somehow was just a loaf of toast with butter and jam. The coffee was overcooked with an awful smell and the tea was cold! 2. Double room which the bed was partially damaged and the side of the bed...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
