I have stayed at the Haymarket three times over the past two years, most recently in October. The staff is very personable: Miroslava and Adriana at the front desk; Alex, Eva, Sunnee in the restaurant are to be commended for making my recent visits very welcoming. There are others who contributed and I apologize for not remembering everyone's name. The... More

Stylish, fun. Not stuffy. Excellent staff, particularly the concierge desk. Bathrooms in particular are perfect -- heated about 5 degrees warmer than the room and with a night light that seems to be motion activated. Great location. Indoor pool great for jet lag recovery, but needs to be a few degrees warmer. Nice restaurant attached off the main lobby. Great... More

Having stayed at many 5* hotels in central London over the years it takes a lot to impress me, but the Haymarket did it for me - genuinely superb and the staff are amazing. Couldn't ask for more from the room, superbly furnished and large. Lived the pool, must be one of the best in London. Only negative was the... More

For real life dairy farmers the Haymarket hotel seemed aptly named! Having enjoyed a stay here roughly 7 years ago, the central location was ideal for a business trip stay over. The spacious boutique style suite, included a record player, vinyls and tv in view from the bath which was Amazing! We enjoyed a relaxed swim in the pool complete... More

Booked randomly based on TripAdvisor report after big disappointment at Dukes Hotel in St James. Paid half price of that at £280 on some offer for I think for lowest level room. Such a pleasant surprise - really central hotel and great open areas and lounges. Super friendly staff - chocolate bar as welcome present. Room great - recently redone,... More

Just got back from staying 6 nights at The Haymarket Hotel. My husband and I could not have been happier. The hotel is beautiful. Not grand, which we like, but cozy and sophisticated. Off a quite street in the center of everything. The service was impeccable! Professional yet warm every day of our 7 day stay-- from the doormen, porters,... More

Great location in the West End right off Haymarket in the former American Express office building. Super comfortable room and didn't feel over priced even at £420 for deluxe room. Lovely and friendly staff throughout. Interesting art and furniture. If you have the budget, this is recommended.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
