I wanted an overnight stay, having travelled from Cornwall by train, to catch an early-afternoon flight from Heathrow. This hotel is right next to Paddington station, so it was ideally placed. I'd booked and paid (£62) in advance for a room and breakfast. (I could have got cheaper by travelling further; but would have saved only £10 or so, which...

We arrived at the metro hotel. Check in time should be at 3pm but at 5pm the room was not ready. The man behind the reception desk told us it would take him 10 minutes to get the room cleaned en ready for our stay. When we entered the room we felt like entering a closet. It was too hot..the...

Stayed one night in the twin double room. Prior to arriving we contacted the hotel to ask if we could check In early as our flight was arriving early in London after 14 hours from Asia. Upon arrival we stood at the front door waiting 10 mins before someone also staying there opened the door for us. We were told...

Top location near Paddington Stations but it's a cramped old hotel. Big set of steep stairs greet you inside the entrance that you have to scale with your luggage to get to reception desk. If you're not well or unfit it's a big task. Staff are great and friendly. Room we had was very narrow but clean enough. As we...

Do not book this hotel. We booked to stay here because it's cheap and conveniently located right next to London Paddington. I was concerned we'd have trouble checking in as we were arriving after midnight. However, the website stated that the reception desk was 24 hours and I called ahead of booking to confirm this. We also called ahead of...

Positives - Excellent location right in Paddington, about a minutes walk from the tube station. Plenty of food, pubs, shops and convenience stores nearby or right down below. Short walk 5-10 minutes to Hyde park, good location for tube to Oxford St, in zone 1. The staff are friendly. But the price for central London really does reflect what you...

The only positive thing about this hotel is the staff. Both front desk guys were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a disaster. "Air conditioning" is a small fan in the one outlet in your room. There is no lift and just getting up the stairs to the front desk is long and steep 25-30 stairs. Then, the rooms...

Honestly, I've stayed in nicer hostels, but you get what you pay for. In this case, what you're paying for is a {lumpy} bed, {spotty} wifi, a {shared} hot shower, and a {pretty dingy} place to put your stuff in a PRIME location. The hotel is literally across the street from Paddington Station, with easy access to Notting Hill, Hyde...

On arrival the first thing that hits you is the smell of something stale. The carpets probably need a clean. Checked in and was given 1 key card. Off up 4 flights of stairs someone previously said 88 all together very unsteady handrails. Opened the door of room 11 to find a double bed and fridge just enough room to...

We booked this hotel last minute for our trip to London it was a reasonable price for being last minute. The hotel location is quite good as it's just down from Paddington station. The hotel room was very basic and only had the essentials you need but was fine for the price.
