The Z Hotel Piccadilly garners praise for its prime location, with guests enjoying the proximity to local attractions and dining options. The staff's friendliness and efficient service are frequently commended, contributing to the hotel's welcoming atmosphere.
While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and contemporary design, some guests caution that they can be on the smaller side and occasionally suffer from noise and ventilation issues. Opinions on value for money vary, with some finding the hotel's offerings, including complimentary perks, to be a fair deal, despite the room size concerns.

Detailed Reviews
My partner and I visited for our anniversary and had a brilliant stay. The location is absolutely perfect and you're only a few minutes away from Leicester Square.
The staff on reception were all really down to earth and easy to talk to. I was a little worried that they might be a little snobby because the place was so nice, but they were all nice.
We upgraded to a larger room and we were really impressed. The room feels big and open owing to the glass walls used for the shower and toilet.
I'd love to stay again in the future. I did try and sign up for the Z Members scheme, but I never got around to it.
Would highly recommend!

Let me make one thing clear, this hotel is, while on the face of it not great value for money, so well located and beautifully executed that you’ll not regret a thing.
Inside the tiny but perfect room you’ll find everything you need except for a view, and three minutes or less walk away from the tiny lobby, plenty of attractions around Leicester Square and beyond.
The whole thing is spotless and generally of above average quality, so if you don’t mind the compact room, you’re bound to have a good stay!

We were only staying one night so there was little need to pay for luxury accommodation on this occasion. For two double rooms (think one was a queen room, slightly larger) total cost £150 = a bargain in my book. Rooms albeit small / compact have all that is needed.. comfy double bed, decent sized smart TV, tea n coffee, nice thick towels, good quality loo roll and good functioning shower. Couple of minor points in that only one single small shower gel provided so if there is 2 people you’d have to ask for more. The bathroom is a little strange as it’s basically a wet room formed with floor to ceiling opaque glass walls complete with sliding door into the corner of the room. As I was sleeping alone this was no issue, however if I was staying with someone using the toilet (I’m talking number 2 here) may have been somewhat awkward? Minimal room to hang up clothes so any more than a couple nights max may cause some a problem? Room was clean, communal area on GF was made up of small coffee shop that doubled up as reception, sounds weird but it seemed to work and it’s manned 24 hrs so if you want an espresso at 3am you wont have to look far. I arrived a couple of hrs ahead of my 3pm check in time but after some discussion with reception they found me at least one of my rooms ready and I was able to drop my bag freshen up and head off to meet my daughter. You can always leave your luggage as well safe and secure after checkout as we did before our late pm journey home. This is the second time I’ve stated at Z Hotels and have to say good value and wouldn’t hesitate staying again and recommending them. Location wise this one was very close ti the west end a short walk form either Leicester Square or Piccadilly tube station. Ideal if you are coming to the theatre and indeed if you looking for a good place to eat, restaurants and bars are a plenty surrounding the hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for being a loyal guest at our hotel and for sharing your views with others. It was delightful to read that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at The Z Hotel Piccadilly. Our intention is to offer a luxury compact accommodation for an affordable price. However, as you stated, our rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, this includes a cosy bed with crisp linen. Our café is open 24 hours per day; therefore, our guests have the opportunity to enjoy our delicious selection of food and beverage at any time during their stay. We are evaluating the concerns about the room amenities, as we are committed to offering better service for our guests. We are glad to hear that you were able to get an early check-in and had the opportunity to use our luggage room after your check-out. This is a service that we offer complimentary to all our guests during their stay. We hope we will have the opportunity to welcoming you to our hotel again in the near future. Please, before proceeding with your next booking, please, send us an email to piccadilly@thezhotels.com and we will send you a special discount. Best regards, Andrei Roman Hotel Operations Manager

Personnel is friendly... but things started to go bad quite quickly for me when they told me that the lift is not working and my room was at the 4th (and highest) floor - checked comments here after, it’s been at least 3 months that the lift is out of order, and as it is blocked with wood panels, it could take a long time before it works again.
The room was very noisy, I woke up several times during the night with noise from AC and the water coming from tubes from other rooms.
Wanted to have a rest after a day of walk and 4 floors to climb to your room? Nope.
The bed is good. It goes from wall to wall. The (too) large TV is just over your feet.
The design is cool, although it is a very small room (but hey, you’re in central London), but I think I never faced such a small room. There is a window, but with an opaque sheet so you cannot see what’s outside, only that there is sunlight.
The shower is good.., once you are able to get in: you should’t be fat as the door hits the toilets at about 45 degrees opening.
The breakfast is good also, not the biggest choice I’ve seen but well enough.
All in all, location is perfect.
Services are good.
Employees are kind.
Having a rest... not really.
I may come back only if the lift works and have a room for what’s it made for: a rest.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing The Z Hotel Piccadilly and for sharing your experience with us. We are extremely sorry that your stay with us was not up to your expectations. One of our main priorities is to offer to all our guests a comfortable night sleep for an affordable rate. In fact, we are carrying on some renovation in our property until middle of July, aiming to offer to our guests more comfort during their stays. Unfortunately, this has led to some temporary changes to our regular standards, including the lift not being available as it is currently under replacement. Please, rest assured that our team is working really hard to keep the disruption to a minimum. As we could not locate your reservation, we would like to kindly invite you to contact us trough the email address: dmpic@thezhotels.com as we would like to discuss further the noise reported in your room during your stay. We really hope to welcome you again in the future. Please, rest assured that we will work tireless to offer you a better experience in the future. Best regards, Andrei Roman Hotel Operations Manager

My partner and I stayed here for one night. I’d chosen this hotel as it is a stones throw away from her majesty’s theatre and we were watching a show late that evening. The room was small but it’s in the centre of London so we expected it. There was plenty of room to move around and we were comfortable. The bed was very firm but I liked that, duck down feather pillows too were a nice touch. The room was clean and tidy as was all the linen provided. We had a window in the room, the view wasn’t fantastic but the glass was frosted so that was taken care of. The shower room & toilet is surrounded by frosted glass. The shower didn’t offer much privacy but this wasn’t a concern for us, the toilet was more private though. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, we were even able to check in slightly earlier than we’d thought.
My only issue was that the lift wasn’t working and we had to climb 4 flights of stairs to reach our room. This is something that couldn’t be helped so I wouldn’t mark them down for this. Staff were more than happy to help us with our bags although, that wasn’t necessary.
We both slept well and our stay was pleasant. We’d definitely stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed here for 1 night so we could go to the theatre and not worry about getting home after the show, we are so glad we did this. The location is perfect you can walk to Piccadilly and Leicester Square the theatre Royal is just around the corner and there's hundreds of restaurants at all price ranges within walking distance.
The rooms are quite basic but you still have everything you need and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a short break and if you get a travel card you can explore as much of London you want to via the underground and bus service.

Dear guest, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for sharing your experience with us. We are impressed on how you described our hotel so well! As you mentioned, we are in a very privileged location, in the heart of London, close to the most famous West End theatres, and plenty of food and drinks options nearby. In addition, our hotel is easily accessible by public transport as it is located just 5 minutes waking from the Piccadilly Circus underground station. In fact, we follow a compact style, however our rooms are equipped with everything you need: a crisp and comfortable bed, individual air conditioning system, a 48” TV with full sky package, free Wi-Fi and a range of facilities that make your stay unforgettable. As we appreciate your review, we would like to invite you to send us an email to piccadilly@thezhotels.com before making your next reservation and we will send you a special discount for returning guests. My experience was completely different to recent reviewers. I arrived at about 9.15 pm
and was greeted with a lovely smile. Check in was easy and I had a room on the first floor. Everything was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Every time I came in or out of the hotel I was greeted with a smile/nice comment by whoever was on reception. I had a problem working the shower; I knew it was down to me and not a fault but the lovely lady on reception arranged immediately for someone to come up to my room and show me where I was going wrong. In fact it was just that a lever was a bit stiff and I had worried that I may damage it if I pushed it the way I thought it should go.. When I went down later I was asked if all was ok now and whether there was anything else they could do. The location of the hotel could not be better. Breakfast was a nice continental selection or a hot filled roll or both - a set price for the continental and a small supplement for the roll. I slept well and the stay was very enjoyable.

Me and my little girl spent 4 nights here. We were upgraded to a room with a window when we arrived. The hotel was across the road from Her Majesty's Theatre where we went to see Phantom and was a couple of streets from the hard rock cafe and Picadilly Circus underground station. It felt safe when we returned on a night. The staff were really lovely and helpful. We had breakfast there every morning (bacon sandwich and unlimited coffee for £5) and my little girl ate for free. There were apples and water left out for guests to help themselves. The rooms were clean and there were hangers on the wall instead of a bulky wardrobe. The only downside is that the bathroom had frosted glass walls so you can see eachother in the shower and on the toilet! But other than that it's 10/10 from me and my daughter. We will definitely be staying again when we return to London in the new year

We are happy to know that you enjoyed the upgrade that we offered you and that our team was helpful and made sure of your warm welcome. As you mentioned, we are located in a very privileged location, close to theatres, landmarks and attractions. Also, it is very nice to read that you like our breakfast options. We do hope it made your experience even better since the beginning of the day. Thank you also, to mentioning the cleanliness of our rooms. Our housekeeping team works hard to leave everything spotless, and your words reaffirms that we are in the right track. In fact, our en-suite shower rooms are made from frosted glass, and we are really happy to read that it did not affect your overall experience. This was literally a last second booking as I was seriously let down by another hotel chain. I chose Z Hotels as I’ve never had a bad experience here and despite the suddenness of the booking I still managed to pick up a room slap bang in the middle of London for less than 70 quid! Like all Z hotels the room is small but that’s the whole idea. They have everything you need, smart tv, coffee, tea, shower, and a very comfortable bed. The ground floor room I was given was very quiet and I got a very good nights sleep. The fire alarm in my room did start to beep during the night but this was quickly resolved and was offered a complimentary breakfast as way of an apology. It wasn’t necessary for them to do this but it just goes to show the level of service they offer. I just wished that I came here in the first place, I know I’ll be coming back again

Clean modern hotel central to theatres, Leicester Square and trafalgar square , rooms perfectly proportioned for two for average sized able bodies , would be a bit tight for a larger couple and awkward to get in and out of bed if you had mobility issues as the one against the window has to climb over the other, also just a note the very nice powerful shower and modern bathroom is just behind a glass screen so you need to be comfortable doing your business in front of the other! Lol!
Full sky tv was a great addition it kept my partner entertained whilst I got ready!
Staff very polite and helpful, we arrived early expecting to leave our luggage but our room was ready so we could check straight in
Overall I think it’s a great hotel at a good price and I would stay again if visiting for a few nights

They got Air Condition - that also can be used as a heather. The rooms are very small, so the problem in my opinion - is that it is to warm. but you can talk to them in the reception - to adjust the temperature - the way you like it. We did it, but there is a limit for how cold it can get. but for warmth, i cant see that be a problem.
Lift wasn’t working when I was there, if you are very security conscious it’s probably not the place for you..
Hi there are room with clear windows, and there are rooms with no windows, and rooms with frosted glass on the first floor.. So if you want clear window, check when u order, i think the room is called Z double.... (There are rooms without window - inside double or something like that.. just check when u order)...
I think you'd best contact hotel as prices will vary.
