First night stayed here the bar tender Claire helped us to locate our way around London and gave us very friendly service the receptionist is cheerful and the room was clean and the stay was good I will be staying here again hopefully soon with my family thanlyou
Stayed at this hotel and me and my partner was very happy…. Good location with Moorgate tube just 7 minutes walk down the road Stayed in a super room, worth it for the little extras Also had the breakfast added on, again very good for the price you pay. Plenty to choose from and decent quality products. We also opted for early check in and later check out, gave use more time to explore London. The staff where friendly, and if you go to reception and ask for your room to be serviced and tea trays to be replenished they will do it without any hesitation. It was extremely hot during our stay and didn’t have air conditioning but they did all could to make our room as cool and comfortable as possible including providing us with a Fan, my only gripe was that we had to keep going down to reception to have our key cards reset but that’s not a fault of theirs it’s because I kept putting my card next to my phone which kept wiping it clean. I would definitely recommend and definitely would stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay.…
My experience started with No wifi on the first day even though it was prepaid at 12 pounds a day. To add to my annoyance only 1 device worked with the wifi. In addition to this we were offered a "free drink" this did not pad the bad service. On day 2 we came back to an untidy room with no bedding done after spending the whole day out, only the towels were changed and placed on the unclean bedding from the night before. We requested prior by placing the tag over the door handle and no change. A few hours later a fire drill was conducted and the fire safety procedure was a joke, no one knew what was happening, and was a complete waste of time. Day 3 We spoke to the manager who was very rude to us and insinuated that it was our fault for not telling the front desk to have our room cleaned. We were staying in a 'super room' but it came with no perks to give it this title. If I wanted to clean a room I would have stayed in an Air BnB. The manager assured us that our room would be cleaned every day and it came as no surprise that it was not cleaned the next day, the manager noticeably was becoming annoyed with us for pointing out these issues and we began to feel ill-treated because we wanted good service. Each morning I felt uncomfortable when the cleaner would come, they would only change the bedding, the dirty tea cups were left and on days the tea was not refilled. The experience was not pleasant the only thing to look forward to was leaving the hotel. For 1200 pounds I would not wish it upon my worst enemy to stay here, extremely rude service from the cleaning staff and assistant manager who argued with us for pointing out rudimentary tasks and services that other hotels provide. The breakfast is garbage, no options for non-pork eaters, the pancakes were stale and the coffee was cheap. The desk staff were the only pleasure and the bartender empathized with me. The black staff members stood out in making me feel welcome as I felt some levels of prejudice from the assistant manager and the cleaners.. loads of micro racist aggressions. The manager lacks accountability and should not be in that position!…
Good value and clean room but don't stay here in warm weather and skip breakfast. It's location is fairly central and staff were generally friendly although I paid extra for early check in then got disturbed because they insisted on adding a new chair to my room.
The London City Travelodge is in a perfect location with a bus stop right outside the door and two tube stations a very short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The noise from outside was not bad considering that it's facing onto a busy road. We would definitely go back there.
The rooms are clearly being refurbished, ours was recently updated so was fresh and clean. The WiFi was not working and so we got a refund having paid in advance for to this. The breakfast was very substandard and not worth the £9.99. food tasted reheated, was lukewarm or not well cooked. Lots of people were leaving scrambled egg on their plates and there was no staff clearing or cleaning any tables after people had left. The reception staff were very friendly on arrival and departure. If you want a comfy bed to sleep in but no more- then you'll be fine here.
A stay in London necessitated by the rail strike. Central location so convenient in many ways. Lots of large groups of people which was a bit offputting for someone travelling alone. The room itself was very comfortable and although there was some noise from the corridor, overall it was pretty quiet and I wasn't disturbed during the night. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean.
I want to say that it is the first time that I use the hotel Travelodge. I booked 3 nights at the called "Super room", however there were many errors that should be improved: 1. I booked for 2 nights and gave a card number just to reserve, they said they would charge at the hotel. which didn't happen 2. I reserved 1 more night, directly by phone, I said on 3 occasions that I wanted to pay directly at the Hotel. Again they did not comply with the request. 3. In the room, the Bed was very small, it was not a Kingsize as they offer me 4. In the room there was no air conditioning. And in Summer it is mandatory. 5. In the room during the 3 days there was no WiFi service. 6. During the 3 days of stay, they did not clean the bathroom, nor the bed, nor the carpet, they only changed towels and removed the garbage from the garbage cans. 7. Breakfast is very poor to pay 10 pounds. 8. EMPLOYEES try to give their best but it is not possible if the company does not provide good facilities. 9. I want to note the magnificent work of Analzira from the Travelodge London Central City Road Hotel. She makes the differenze! 10. For the good future of the company, I hope YOU take these recommendations into consideration. Thank you…
Analzira has been amazing with us. Very helpful and friendly :) The hotel is well located and is pretty good for a travelodge hotel. The only bad points were not having AC in the room and the noise from the street. But overall an amazing stay. Thank you!
The hotel is a little old fashioned but the location is excellent and the staff very nice. If I come back to London I’ll choose it again. The breakfast is variated. Attention, If you want your room made you have to say in reception otherwise they’ll only change the towels.
