Room: we were traveling three adults; the room, between the double bed and the two singles there was a hairstyle adjusted in size but nothing that was a problem, because the trip was for tourism and we spent all day exploring the city. The beds, as usual, very comfortable. Apart, large table with kettle and cups, and a shelf with four shelves, on one of which were iron, hairdryer and fan. There is no minibar or refrigerator, but next to the hotel there is a Tesco Express that opens daily from 07:00 to 23:00, perfect to buy any basics.
The bathroom, tight but sufficient, with bathtub with built-in shower and good pressure.
We were on the second floor and our window overlooked the main facade, and it is a busy street. If noise is a sleeping problem (it was not our case), request a room that faces the back.
The hotel has a huge lounge for breakfast and meals, as well as a bar (although we do not use either), and the bathrooms on the ground floor are, like other common areas, always very clean.
The front desk staff (both at check in and throughout the stay when I had to order something) are super friendly. Upon arrival, if it is not check-in time or there are no rooms available yet, they have a luggage storage; the same for the day of departure.
The catch: the room cleaning service does not make the beds or clean the room until the fifth day of stay; theoretically, if a sign is hung on the door, they go to pick up the dirty towels and empty the bins. The only time we requested this the towels were taken, but the bins were left uncollected. Similarly, both clean towels and toilet paper must be requested and collected from reception.
Room 133 - we always stay in a family room with a king size bed and 2 put up beds and have always had a comfortable night sleep. The 2 put up beds have slept both a 75 year old and 30 year old and we don’t have any complaints. Iron and ironing board in the room, a hairdryer which is great not having to pack one! Bathroom with bath & shower, grab rails for the bath which came in very handy when stepping in and out.
If the room had a couple more towel hooks and some coat hooks near the door or on the side of the wardrobe we would have had everything we needed.
This is the first time we opted for breakfast and it was lovely. Just what we needed before a day of sightseeing. Hot options included sausages, scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato’s, beans, mushrooms and hash browns. Continental options had various cereal including Rice Krispies, cornflakes, crunch nut and weetabix. The fruit salad was very refreshing and tasty. Small yoghurt pots, variety’s of milk. Toast, pancakes, bagels, croissants and different options for your toppings. Unlimited orange and apple juice and tea and coffee. Would definitely opt for breakfast again. The blonde lady who was meeting and greeting for breakfast was so friendly and always said goodbye to us on the way out.
There is a Tesco express 2 doors down from the hotel which is so handy to have if you are travelling on a budget or just wanting something quick. Plenty of times we’ve grabbed a meal deal before heading out.
If you are arriving into Kings Cross, there is a bus (241) that will take you directly outside the hotel. This was so handy rather than taking Ubers or a taxi as they can become really expensive. £1.75 for a bus and you can take unlimited trips within an hour for that price and pay no more than £5.25 a day for buses no matter how many trips you do. Liverpool Street station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and Moorgate station around a 5-7 minute walk.
There are vending machines in the hotel which seem to always be stocked. I believe the bar is open 24 hours for drinks and late night snacks which is pizzas.
They do also offer a luggage service which they will store your bags for you safely and give you a ticket to keep as your ID for your bag when you return. I always take a picture just in case the small ticket is lost.
Overall we had another wonderful stay and can’t wait to return again in the near future!
On the whole a lovely experience, great base for exploring London with Kings Cross tube station and numerous bus routes to get us around the theatre districts.
Will certainly be back.

Location is good
Staff try their best
However...
The hotel was dirty
There was vomit outside the hotel on arrival
Cups in the room had dirt in them
Shower head was dirty
Shower curtain was dirty
Chair in the room was stained
The bed was marked
The hotel staff cleaned the room once they were made aware, but frankly a dirty hotel is just not ok
Add to that I booked a super room on the promise of a nice coffee machine and upgraded shower... You get a total of 4 coffee pods, 2 caffeinated and 2 decaf. Those ran out and the staff said they had only decaf left... Small details, but if you pay extra you expect to get what you pay for
The multi function shower didn't work properly so it was just a standard shower.
I purchased a meal deal, the website says you can eat from 12 midday onwards but staff made it clear dinner was from 5pm only.
Honestly this was a huge let down... The room was dirty and I got none of the benefits of the super room for which I paid a supplement to enjoy.
To top it all off, housekeeping woke me up at 10.30 in the morning despite check out not being until 12.00
In closing, the hotel is dirty and the super rooms are not worth the extra you pay
I wouldn't stay here again, in fact I doubt I'll ever stay in a Travelodge again after this experience.
