This small hotel was recently acquired by the large Malaysian chain of luxury hotels, where it does not seem yet to fit. Material improvements are still expected. My experience was OK: Helpful staff; contnental ( not English!) breakfast correct. Small bedroom with good beds but bathroom exceedingly small. Pleasant environment in the elegant West End by Notting Hill. In sum...

Last minute booking for quick meeting in london. £110 for 1 night, had to pay £20 to park my car at the back of the premises in a car park where trucks and building work was going on. The receptionist was highly rude!. Seemed to have the attitude that because i am leaving in less than 24 hours i didn't...

I was anxious after I booked here back in April as some of the reviews weren't too flattering. We arrived from Paris about 10:30 am on the Eurostar with the one hour time difference. We expected to just drop our bags and come back and check in later. As the room was ready, the manager was fine with an early...

The manager has had my cell phone since June 11, 2016 in her possession but has failed to return it even though "she has it on her desk". I have talked to her numerous times from the States but to no avail.

Great location in Bayswater close to restaurants, laundry, cafes etc. air conditioner excellent. Microwave and fridge good. Fairly quiet location . Room poorly presented. Curtains shabby and did not close properly. Furniture to large for room and poorly set out. TV badly positioned. Only one chair. Not enough power points. Bathroom way to small. Poorly designed. Could not get dressed...

Absolutely nothing to complain about here. From check in, to the room, to the staff, the location, the value. A wonderful find that I shall certainly be using again. The room was very well appointed and the location so handy for town - and in a quiet location.

We stayed at this hotel in May 2016 for 2 nights. It suited us perfectly as all we were after was a bed and shower for 2 nights. The hotel reception are very helpful and friendly especially Dianna. The room we got was spacious and the queen size bed very comfortable. We thought the shower area was acceptable. It's not...

The hotel is situated in a quiet area but there are plenty of restaurants in easy reach. It was clean and reception were friendly. The main drawback was the size of the room. There was a double bed but was only accessible from one side. It was impossible to get out of the bed from the far side without climbing...

A convenient and safe location with a decent air conditioning with a fridge and a pretty good bed. That is all positive I have to say about the hotel. Cons include way too little table space, poor voice isolation, poor windows with a horrible view, unwatchable TV due to signal weakness, absolutely horrible Wi-Fi that disconnects every minute and no...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
