The hotel is correct, and the location is very good in terms of landmarks and also public transport, but far too expensive for the quality offered. Rooms very small and no option for communicated rooms, so not good if you have kids.
I was only here two nights after visiting Oxford for a couple weeks I wanted a hotel close to the “ sights “ and luckily ran into some reviews for this hidden gem of a hotel ! It is literally a couple blocks from the palace ! It’s walking distance to beautiful Saint James Park, Hyde Park & just almost anything you want to see! I even walked thru the park to Fortnum & Mason! The room o had was stunning w a wall of leather “ books” that was backlit (as was the headboard ) it is room -1 and I highly recommend it ! See pics - It has a nice huge shower & a little alcove w a kettle and small coffee maker & fridge !. I drink a lot of Diet Pepsi so it was convenient to run to Boots Pharmacy ( about 1/2 block away ) and get my sodas ,etc. The BEST thing about this hotel tho were three special employees! Jason, Monika & Raquel ( I hope I spelled these right ) the two I met first were on duty when I checked in Jason & Monika were above and beyond helpful to me! They gave me daily directions ( I had to drop my luggage off bc I got there hours before check in ( had been in Oxford ) they locked my luggage up & also put my passport in the safe for me . Oh btw the room had its own safe built in the closet I was able to easily set my own code to . This is a tiny boutique of a hotel and the prices for this area of London were fantastic! ( about 300$ roughly a night ? ) I travel alone and am 60 so I needed help to navigate London , as I’m American . I highly recommend them to Americans .(I noticed about half the guests were from USA) it’s a well kept secret but I would def stay here again when I go back . I hated London my first time 4 years ago bc I stayed too far away from stuff and spent most of the day navigating thru tubes and buses ! The trains were on strike when I was there so that was the only a minor inconvenience bc I was so close I took a cab ( btw the black cans were cheaper in London that Uber! be sure and check bc I think it depends on the train strike . So this company has a few London “ Resident” hotels ( Mayfair, Soho, etc ) but t hi s one is ready got by the Victoria tube station! Normally the fastest way to travel . If I’d know I’d have this much fun in London I’d have booked another week! In fact next year I plan to book a week at this gorgeous hotel ! I hope the owners recognize what great employees they have in these three young people ( Jason, Monika & Raquel ) bc I travel a lot & these were by far THE BEST at their jobs ! Super friendly and helpful to everyone ! They do have larger rooms but I travel alone this too is gorgeous but really only large enough for 1-2 people…
Well located, being able to do a lot walking. Several bars and restaurants next door. Victoria subway station is one block away. London easy, with comfort and good price. Not to mention the small kitchen available in the bedroom.
The Resident was well appointed, clean, friendly and in a great location. Being only blocks from Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace and near every sort of eating establishment it was just right. The Nova area, just a block away, in Sir Simon Milton square has a plethora of choices for food and drink.
We spent 5 days at the hotel and it was perfect. Ideally situated a 5 minute stroll to the Victoria Station (with great restaurants and pubs 5 minutes walk away), we had easy access to Gatwick Airport and our train to Scotland via a quick transfer to King's Cross. The hotel is very well appointed, allowed us to walk everywhere (a short 30 minute walk to the West End venues) with Buckingham Palace across the street and Westminster 15 minutes away. Our room had all amenities required and the hotel had a 24hr staffed front desk/concierge service. While in the heart of everything, the room was exceptionally quiet.
This is a perfectly appointed and centrally located modern hotel. All staff members were courteous and helpful, but Raquel was a stand-out. This charming young lady effortlessly managed two separate reservations for me and made my hotel stay a wonderful experience.
We stayed here as a family (2 rooms) for a graduation ceremony in Westminster. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms were well presented - small size but big for being this central in London, still provided the space we needed. Staff were very supportive in sorting out an accessible room for one of our party who struggles with mobility.
I had a wonderful stay at The Resident Victoria. It was so great to be back in London and the location cannot be beaten. Lovely staff, great room. Couldn’t fault it. No restaurant/room service but there is plenty nearby to satisfy you.
We ended up being in London during the period of mourning for the queen. The city was extremely busy but The Resident was a breath of fresh air during the hustle and bustle. The amenities are great and the bed was so comfortable. I will stay there again next time I'm in London!
Really wonderful hotel, close to Buckingham Palace, St James Park, green park but 30 seconds off the main road so felt calmer. Super quiet hotel even on very busy weekend, lovely staff. Walkable to Victoria Palace Theatre to see Hamilton. Little kitchenette with coffee machine. Very clean.
